Hello JFA Families,

October was a busy month at JFA! Students completed their iReady Diagnostics testing earlier this month and staff continued diving into the Nurtured Heart Approach at our 12:45 In-service. JFA's character trait for the month of October was KINDNESS. Students have been demonstrating kindness throughout the school by helping one another and using kind words. Those who were caught being kind were rewarded with a sweet treat; an ice cream ticket that they can redeem at lunchtime! Students also got creative making costumes for our Fall Harvest Parade, learned about Fire Safety from Salem City Fire Department, participated in the district-wide Walk, Bike & Roll event, and PK students visited G & G Farms for their class trip. We also celebrated a SURPRISE ATTENDANCE DAY on October 27th! All classrooms that had 100% attendance were entered into a raffle to win McDonald's Happy Meal vouchers! Stay tuned for more surprise attendance days. Thank you parents and guardians for sending your children to school everyday and on time! Lastly, your voice matters! Please take time to complete the New Jersey School Funding Survey & Screens in School Survey located in the Survey section of the newsletter.

New Jersey School Funding Survey

Share Your Voice: Take five minutes to complete the New Jersey School Funding Survey. Our school community is strongest when families have a voice in decisions that affect students. The New Jersey Department of Education is seeking input from families, students, educators, and community members as part of a statewide effort to gather feedback on school funding. Your input will help inform discussions and recommendations about how school funding can best support student success across New Jersey. We encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey and share your perspective. Your feedback is valuable and is the strongest way to ensure that the experiences and priorities of our community are represented. The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete.
