We are excited to invite you to our Family Engagement Night on September 24th at 6:00 PM. Your involvement plays a vital role in the success of our students, and this event is an excellent opportunity for us to work together to support their growth and development.

During the evening, you will have the chance to:

  • Meet and connect with staff and other families.
  • Learn more about our tech tools, curriculum, and ways you can support your child's educational journey.

Your presence will make a huge difference, and we encourage all parents to attend. Together, we can create a strong foundation for our students to learn, grow, and thrive!

Thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to seeing you on September 24th!

Together, we are ready to LEAD: to Learn, Endure, Achieve, and Dominate!

Parents keep the MCS Dress Code in mind while shopping or selecting outfits for your child.

All students are required to be covered from the chest to mid-thigh in opaque material. You may see the model below for an illustration of the expectation. Each student’s face should be visible, per our school safety plan. Thus hats and non-religious head-covering may not be worn in the building. See the following link for the full Moore County School Dress Code: MCS Student Dress Code

P.E. Dress Requirements:

Students must wear rubber-soled athletic shoes for Physical Education class. Jewelry is not permitted in P.E. class. It is recommended that students wear athletic shirts(short or long sleeves) without buttons or zippers and athletic shorts or pants. Students may utilize the locker room to change into appropriate athletic clothing. Students who do not utilize this option may wear dress-code-appropriate athletic wear to school.

Arrival and Dismissal Helpful Hints: Arrival and Dismissal Helpful Hints:

Arrival:

The front of the building is the car rider drop off for all students. We will open our doors at 7:30 am. Please do not drop off students prior to 7:30 am as there is no staff on duty prior to 7:30 and follow the traffic pattern.

  • Helpful hint: Students may exit their vehicle all along the front sidewalk and walk to the entrance door closest to the cafeteria.
  • The inside lane is for teacher only traffic until 7:30. Please do not drive on the inside lane prior to 7:30 so that our teachers can get to their parking spot.

Dismissal:

6th graders and their siblings - Bus Lot

Families with a student in the 6th grade (along with their siblings) will be picked up in the bus parking lot area.

  • Cars will follow the map below and follow the traffic pattern.

  • Pay particular attention to the staff and signage so that we can have buses smoothly exit the parking lot as well.

  • Students will be picked up on the far right side of the lane.

  • We anticipate that by splitting up the car line, we should be done around 3:20. Any student still in the bus lot area after 3:20 will join the car riders in the main lot.

7th and 8th Graders and students who ride in a carpool - Front of Building Pick Up

  • Families with students in the 7th or 8th grade and any student who rides in a carpool will be picked up in the front of the school.
  • We will stagger our release of students for safety reasons so please be patient.

Students must be picked up at the conclusion of the car line. There is no staff on duty after the car line has concluded. Prepare for your child to be picked up in a timely manner.
