Makerspace
In the Library Media Center!
What is a Makerspace?
"Libraries are no longer simply a holding area for books, they are community hubs. People gather at the library to share ideas and enrich their lives. But did you know that libraries are now becoming much more than books, computers and internet? Libraries are becoming creation spaces, often called makerspaces. A makerspace is a place where young people have an opportunity to explore their own interests, learn to use tools and materials, and develop creative projects. "

Do You Have Time to Make?
Yes, you do! Feel free to come and make during Eagle Pride Time or after you eat lunch! Teachers may even send you from class (as a reward or incentive)! Just allow at least 15 minutes to complete a project.
Expectations:
- Quiet voices
- Check the floor often.
- Think through the entire job before starting.
- Always leave the space better than you found it.
- Use tools and materials correctly and safely.
- Help each other and share ideas; don't make others feel bad.
