CCA's March Character Trait: Faithfulness
The March character trait of the month at CCA is faithfulness. I asked three students what faithfulness means to them. Carson from 7th grade said, “It means having faith in the Lord.” Ezra from 5th grade said, “Faithfulness means following the Lord.” Daxton from 4th grade said, “Believing in God, and trusting in Him is faithfulness.” -Jacob
Devotion Corner
Parents, Grandparents, and Staff, we thought you might like this devotion from “NewSpring.cc: God is FAITHFUL,” which is based off of Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:13, “If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.”

CCA Birthdays
CCA Chapel ⛪
CCA’s worship team opened chapel on Friday by singing three songs. The 8th grade class led pledges to the American flag, Christian flag and Bible before praying. Mrs. Hyke introduced Jins P.U., from Tribes for All Nations Missions, who brought the message.
Jins opened chapel by asking us these two questions, What is the plan God has for your life? and Why did God bring me into this world? He went on to tell us God has a great plan for each of us, no matter what kind of family you come from. Jin's father was an alcoholic, who was abusive. They didn't have much. He was born and raised in India, and his father had a good job, but he wasted money on alcohol. Jins found Jesus, a friend for him, and afterwards God was always walking with him.
God can open doors for you. He will hold your hand and show you the way. Matthew 28:19 says, "Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." A few years ago, Jins lived in Wyoming with his family and he was making a good living. He felt the Lord calling him to missions; however, he kept saying no. Jins was then diagnosed with cancer. He went back to India for treatment and while on the plane the Lord kept speaking to him. Jins felt the Lord telling him to go and share His word.
Jins sold their business and moved to Branson because that's where they felt the Lord was calling him and his family. Since, Jins has been traveling the world, ministering to people, and the Lord has been guiding him every step of the way, opening doors and allowing him to freely share the gospel.
Jins closed chapel by telling us this, "God has a great plan for each and every one of you. You need to read His word and spend time with Him if you want Him to speak to you. Always share Jesus with others. He will bless you and take away all the obstacles in your way."
Survey Says: Pancakes vs. Waffles
This week Kynlee surveyed 112 students and faculty to find out if they would rather eat pancakes or waffles. Waffles received 83 votes, to pancakes 29; therefore, CCA would chose waffles over pancakes! Did you know waffles have been eaten since the 14th century? *Fun CCA teacher fact: Mrs. Dehn and Mrs. Lancaster like pancakes with peanut butter. Mrs. Hyke really likes waffles.
Class Spotlight: Physical Science
The freshmen and sophomore's are taking Physical science this year, which helps explain more about physics and chemistry. The freshmen have Mr. See as their teacher and the sophomores have Mr. Kelsey. Currently in physical science, students are in the physics section of the book. In this chapter, we have been learning about mechanics and kinematics, all the different philosophers who have come up with new ideas to advance physics, the models we use now, frames of reference- a coordinate system that we can use to describe the motion of an object, how to measure distance and displacement, velocity, speed, momentum, and so much more.
Students are now learning how to calculate momentum, speed, and velocity, and how to be able to add velocities. We have learned about how momentum is conserved and how we can preserve it. We are getting ready to learn about acceleration and different types of motions, including: projectile motion, circular motion, and centripetal motion. We have been doing some experiments to help us further understand velocity and momentum. --Carissa
