Welcome to High School Edition
Welcome to Hart High School
Welcome to Hart High School!
We’re excited to partner with you as your student begins their high school journey. This is an important milestone, and our dedicated staff is here to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for your student’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
We encourage you to stay involved, attend Back to School Night, join the Hart Parent Organization, and maintain open communication with teachers. Hart offers a wide range of programs, from AP courses and athletics to arts, clubs, and career pathways, helping students explore their interests and prepare for life after high school.
We understand that the transition can be both exciting and challenging. Our counseling team is here to support your student in academic planning, personal development, and college and career readiness.
Stay updated through our website and newsletters, and help your student develop essential life skills like communication and self-advocacy. If they have questions, encourage them to reach out—or feel free to contact me directly.

Your student will receive their Fall Semester schedule at check in on Aug 6th. At that time students should look over their schedule and check for accuracy. If there are any errors that need to be adjusted, students can scan a QR code to access the Schedule Correction Request Form. Please note that only requests made through the Google Form will be considered. Schedule adjustments will not be made for period or teacher preference. For more information view the link below.
College and Career Readiness
Freshman Fridays
With the help of Google Classroom, your student will have access to a new mini guidance lesson posted every Friday. Students are given a link to videos, articles, and presentations all designed to guide them along their journey to graduation, and beyond. I encourage you to view these lessons with your student every Friday.
Has your student joined the Google Classroom? If not, the join code is gnky5gd
By the time your student graduates in 2029, they will be well-prepared to take their first steps beyond Hart High School. We encourage students to explore all college and career options throughout their high school journey. The Class of 2029 Google Classroom will support your student over the next four years, providing resources and information as they progress towards graduation and beyond.
A SNEAK PEAK
Two of the most important topics that your student will learn about this year are the Graduation and The 'A-G' Requirements. Here are some infographics that will help make sense of it all.
Wellness at Hart
Wellness is crucial for high school students as it directly impacts their physical health, mental well-being, and academic performance. Prioritizing wellness helps students manage stress, build resilience, and maintain a balanced lifestyle. Regular exercise, healthy eating, sufficient sleep, and mindfulness practices contribute to improved concentration, better grades, and overall happiness. Encouraging wellness habits early on sets the foundation for a healthy, successful future.
Visiting the wellness center offers high school students numerous benefits. It provides a supportive environment where they can access resources and services that promote physical and mental health. Students can receive guidance on nutrition, exercise, stress management, and mental health counseling. The wellness center is a safe space for discussing personal concerns, building healthy habits, and learning strategies for maintaining overall well-being. Regular visits can help students stay balanced, focused, and equipped to handle the challenges of high school life.
