It's hard to believe October is coming to an end already!! Thank you to all the families who supported our cookie dough fundraiser! Cookie Dough will be ready for pickup on Friday, Nov 20th. Thank you to all our families who attended our literacy night and thank you to our title team for putting this "SPOOKTACULAR" event together and Thank you to our PTO for an enjoyable Trunk or Treat!! Applewood is the best!! Don't forget report cards are now viewable and weather permitting our Halloween parade is Friday, Oct 30th:)

Attention 3rd Grade Families

Please see important information below regarding the upcoming Ohio State English Language Arts state test beginning Wednesday, Oct. 28th.

CAVANAUGH PHOTOGRAPHY RETAKE DAY

If your child was absent on the first picture day, he/she can get their picture taken on retake/absent picture day October 28th. If your student was absent on the first picture day, there will be an ordering site available so you can order online. (cavanaughphoto.com/order) Or, if you placed an order before the first picture day and didn’t realize your child would be absent, it will be honored. If your student wants a retake, you must bring back the original picture packet that was ordered.

If you only ordered a hi-res digital file, please send a note in with your student stating that a hi-res digital file was purchased. If the packet or note is not returned, a new package will not be printed until the original is turned in. The transportation department has been busy all summer developing bus routes.

Transportation eligibility is determined by whether your residence is more than 1 mile from the school your child attends. BCSD will continue to use the StopFinder app. Click HERE for Frequently Asked Questions about using the StopFinder App. All routes will be live in StopFinder on August 11, 2026. If you have questions about your child’s transportation, please submit a Transportation Help Ticket. Tickets will be answered as quickly as possible in the order received. Please refrain from submitting more than one help ticket for the same concern.

If you have a Kindergartener or you are new to the district, please submit the Transportation Opt-In Form. For more information about the Transportation Department, please visit the Transportation Department page on the BCSD website.
