Good Morning E.L.M. Families,

Happy Friday! It's an exciting day! Our students in grades PreK - 2 will be taking a field trip to IOKA Farm in Hancock to pick pumpkins and have a bit of fall fun. Later in the afternoon we will also have classroom Halloween parties. Be sure to check out our Facebook page for photos of our little ghosts and goblins.

News, Updates & Reminders:

* Congratulations and Welcome to Mrs. Stephanie Sayers as our newly appointed School Committee member. Stephanie joins Arleigh Cooper and Erin Malloy in representing our school for the town of Savoy. Stephanie also has two children attending Emma Miller. Congratulations Stephanie!

* Ski Families - Please see the attached documents below outlining the ski program for this year. Information about the cost and fundraising opportunities are in the flyer. We will be sending home copies of this flyer and fundraising calendar to all families that have completed the Ski Club Survey this afternoon. There is a Ski Club fundraising meeting scheduled for Wednesday at 6:00pm. Information about this meeting was sent home in a flyer this past week. Please know that any fundraising monies collected will only benefit those who have participated in the fundraising activities.

* Last night I sent a robocall to all Emma Miller families & staff. If you did not receive the call or would like to make any updates to the call list, please contact the office and we'd be happy to make the change. Just as in past years, this robocall system will be used in the event of school closures, delays, and emergencies. I generally also notify families through email and Facebook, whenever we have a change to our school day as well.

* The NBSU Student Services will be hosting a Basic Rights of the IEP Presentation on Monday, Oct. 30th. Information about the meeting is attached below.

Planning Ahead:

* Thanksgiving Break will begin on Wednesday, November 22nd.

* Trimester one will end on Thursday, Nov. 30th. We will accept new registrations to the Aftercare Program from Nov. 30th - Dec. 8th.

PTG Updates & Reminders:

* Last call on making a purchase through the school store. It will close on Tuesday. Thank you to everyone who made a purchase in support of the PTG. The link is below if you'd still like to make a purchase.

* The next PTG Meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 13 at 5:00pm.

Health & Safety:

* We have runny noses and sneezes all over the place around here! 🤧 We'd appreciate any donations of tissues. Thanks so much!
