Meet our amazing Student Council leadership for the 2026/2027 school year. These dedicated middle schoolers are here to bring their peers’ voices to the forefront and make our school an even better place. From organizing events to planning service projects, they're ready to lead with creativity and enthusiasm.

A wonderful team of parents, donors, and supporters came together this summer to transform the DeSales soccer field for our students! One of those parents, Mr. Nigel Martin, made this video for our students to see what can happen when a group of people have a vison, come together, take a chance, surround themselves with generous and kind people and then simply GO FOR IT!

Basketball Interest – Fill out form

Basketball season is fast approaching! Please follow the link to the Form to fill out if your son or daughter is interested in playing basketball (grades 3-8). Please reply by 10/9 so that I can get permission slips ready to go out to those interested. Please note that if we do not have enough numbers to support a team or if we do not have a coach we will unfortunately not be able to have availability for all the levels mentioned. K-2 students will receive further information regarding Open Gym times that are tentatively starting in November. Any questions reach out to Mrs. Hornquist: hornquistc@desalescatholicschool.org.

Calling all future engineers, coders, and innovators! New and returning students in grades 5–8 are invited to join the DeSales Robotics Competition Team.

Students will design, build, and program VEX IQ robots while developing STEM, teamwork, and problem-solving skills—and competing against other schools!

Starts: Monday, October 19
Meetings: Mondays after school until 5:00 p.m. in Room 10
Cost: $75 per student
Permission slips due: Monday, October 12

The competition season runs through February/March 2027, depending on State qualification. To register, please complete and return this form with payment to the DeSales Main Office.

Robotics Competition Team Registration

Students should begin wearing the Regular uniforms on Thursday, October 1st.

The uniform policy can be found on page 12 of the Parent Student Handbook.

We will celebrate Halloween in school on Friday, October 30th. All students may dress in their Halloween Costumes. Students will still be expected to learn before/after their classroom parties, costumes should be comfortable and adhere to dress code. Please no Halloween masks/covered faces, or weapons.

If you have questions about your child's classroom party, please reach out to your room parent/classroom teacher.

If a student has an inflatable costume, it will have to be deflated for anything other than the classroom party.

Our Student Council is planning a Middle School Dance for Friday, October 16th from 7:30pm until 9:00pm. Admission is $5 and DeSales students in grades 6-8 are invited to attend.

Guests may wear their Halloween costumes. Please no masks, weapons or covered faces.

Although all DeSales students currently receive free breakfast and lunch, we need to track which of our students qualify for free lunch. Please complete and return the free lunch application to Mrs. Fraass if your household meets the income limits.

Tickets to the HSA's November Calendar raffle are $10 are include 30 chances to WIN!

Extra tickets are available in the Main Office or email Mrs. Knuutila to have tickets sent home.

Cash and check payments will also still be accepted. Please use MySchoolBucks in place of your FACTS account for cafeteria purchases.
