Hello Woodcrest Families,

I hope this message finds you and your family enjoying a refreshing summer break! It's been wonderful to see so many Sharks around town this summer, whether at the library, swim meets, recreation activities, and the summer SACC program at Woodcrest.

At Woodcrest, we are already preparing for the 2025-2026 school year. Classrooms are being cleaned and refreshed, and staff are already planning activities and events. Please keep an eye on your email for upcoming announcements and back-to-school events. If you have any questions or need support, don't hesitate to reach out.

We’re looking forward to an exciting year ahead. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we’ll see you soon!

Sincerely,

Alison McCartney

Woodcrest earns a Promising Practice Award from Character.org

The 5th Grade Safety Program has been recognized by Character.org as a 2025 Promising Practice for demonstrating a significant impact and aligning with one or more of the 11 Principles Framework for Schools.

5th Grade Safeties support younger students throughout the day, specifically at lunch, recess and dismissal. Safeties serve as role models, demonstrating our core values in actions, and helping our younger students interact with one another in positive ways. Thank you to Mrs. Gardner and Mrs. Lynch for leading our 5th Grade Safety Program!
