PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Hello Springer Families,

Here we are!!!! Thanksgiving Break! I know all of our sixth grade families are grateful to have their kids back from Science Camp! They had a fabulous time, when I visited yesterday they were having the time of their lives - even in the rain. Here are a few pictures I got on my visit Thursday morning.

As we head into the Thanksgiving break, I want to extend my sincere gratitude for your continued partnership and support. Our students thrive because of the strong, caring community we share, and I am truly thankful for all you do to uplift our school.

I wish you and your loved ones a restful, joyful holiday filled with connection and gratitude. We look forward to welcoming our students back after the break.

Xander (1st) - Ms. Giforos’ class

Nominated by our School Secretary, Miss Porcia, for our BEES award honor. Miss Porcia stated, “ He saw a friend leaving the Nurse’s office and expressed sympathy and care after seeing how hurt they were.”

Thank you, Xavier, for showing such empathy, taking such great care of our community, and being an amazing role model to our other students.

DeMello - Transitional Kindergarten - Honey 🍯 DeMello - Transitional Kindergarten - Honey 🍯

Honey spent the week in TK with Ms.DeMello’s class.

She loves learning so much in TK. They have so much fun learning yoga, learning how to be a good friend, and exploring through play. It is such a wonderful place to help us remember why we are in school - to discover and uncover, to forgive and to persevere. Honey really enjoyed watching them make patterns with beads this week - she has never done that before! Thank you to Ms. DeMello’s class for sharing their experiences with Honey.

🐝 Henry - Fourth Grade - Hultberg 🐝 Henry - Fourth Grade - Hultberg

Henry spent the week with Miss Hultberg’s class this week.

Henry loves visiting this class as they do so many interesting things in Social Studies. Henry has learned so much about California history, which is demonstrated on their interactive bulletin board.

Henry loves seeing what all the places he has buzzed around were like years ago. He also really enjoyed the math challenge that they played together - place value is so hard and this was so fun!

Google employees: Google is generously giving each employee $400 to donate to nonprofits now through November 21. Please consider supporting LAEF from your Google Giving account.

We still need to raise $590K to help fund teachers and essential programs this school year, including PE teachers, librarians, music teachers (4th-6th), the Art Docents program, the Living Classroom program, computer science support, junior high electives, and mental health counseling.

If you have yet to give this school year, donate to LAEF today and request a corporate match if it’s available to you. Gifts of any amount are appreciated and make a difference.

Learn more about the complementary roles that LAEF and the PTA fill in providing an excellent education for our students, and consider supporting both organizations.
