Third Grade

The 3rd graders had an awesome field trip to the Great Plains Zoo and the Butterfly House and Aquarium in Sioux Falls in early May! They saw a lot of neat animals that we have learned about in our science and reading this year. Students in 3rd and 4th also received a pizza party for their hard work with completing ISASP!

First Grade

First grade has been buzzing with hands-on learning and high engagement! Each day, teachers have led a focused activity tied to a subject area the students are studying.

This week, students read fairy tales, experimented with apples in science, and observed different types of clouds. They even created cloud models using cotton—and had some fun making them with cotton candy, too!

Our project-based learning unit wrapped up with a visit from a real ice cream truck business. Students learned how the business got started and what it takes to bring an idea to life.

To finish the week, students practiced their writing skills by crafting their own lemonade recipes. It’s been a week full of creativity, learning, and fun!

3 Year Old Preschool

3-Year-Old Preschool closed out the year with a short music program for our families! We said the Pledge of Allegiance, built Mat Man, sang 5 Little Ducks, performed a finger play, and ended with Skid-a-ma-rink-a-dink-a-dink! It was very exciting to have our families in the audience and to be able to perform for all of them.
