SILVER FOX NEWS
January 31st, 2025
Congratulations!
We’re beyond thrilled to announce that Dr. JoLynn Prochaska has been named an HCS Teacher of the Year Semifinalist! This incredible honor is a true testament to Dr. P’s passion for teaching, her unwavering dedication, and the way she inspires her 6th-grade science students every single day.
Dr. Prochaska, you are a role model for students and colleagues alike, and your positive impact at Ten Oaks Middle School reaches far beyond the classroom. Your kindness, creativity, and commitment to shaping young minds make us so proud to call you part of the TOMS family!
Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition—keep going, the entire Silver Fox Family is pulling for you! Success, Nothing Less
Congratulations to Mr. Robert Douglas, our TOMS Staff Member of the Week!
Mr. Douglas is a 7th Grade Science Teacher and has taught at TOMS for 6 years.
My favorite memory of Middle School was... Playing sports with my friends in middle school was always such a fun time. No stress or responsibilities just having fun.
My advice to my Middle School self would be... Focus on being kind to others. No one is going to remember the clothes you wore or how much your shoes cost. They will remember how you treated them. Make sure you get good grades but do not make it your whole entire life. Leave some time for friends, hobbies, and having fun.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Grey Dieguez to Ten Oaks Middle School! Mr. Dieguez is a senior at Coastal Carolina University, where he is working towards his undergraduate degree in Music Education.
This semester, he is interning with Mr. Pope and will be gaining valuable experience in the field of music education. We look forward to the contributions he will make to our school community and are thrilled to have him here!
What an incredible achievement! 🎉 Huge congratulations to Michael Pearson for his outstanding performance, securing 2nd place in the state for Middle School Wrestlers! 🏅 It’s amazing to see the CFHS Wrestling Program continuing to grow and producing such talented athletes. Michael is definitely a bright star for the future of the sport. 🌟 Keep it up, Michael! We’re all so proud of you and excited to see what’s next. Go Panthers and Foxes! 🦊🐾 Pearson is the 3rd middle school state finalist in 3 years! CFHS Wrestling Program continues to grow and we are proud Foxes over here!
Huge congratulations to TOMS Chorus Director Rachel Rollins and her students Nevaeh McKinnies, Emma Spagnolo, and Lana Cantrell for their outstanding representation at the All-State Chorus clinic this past weekend!
Over two days, these talented students joined singers from across the state to prepare and perform beautiful music. Their hard work and dedication led to a phenomenal performance at the stunning Francis Marion Performing Arts Center. We are so proud of them and their achievement!
Please join us in celebrating their success and the incredible experience they had! #TOMSChorus #AllStateChorus #ProudMoment #MusicExcellence #FutureStars
A Huge Thank You to Jason Walters and Salt Life Church!
Today, we were blessed by the generosity of Jason Walters and Salt Life Church, who chose to bless our school with much-needed school supplies and snacks for our amazing staff!
We are incredibly grateful for this thoughtful gesture that truly made a difference in our day. Thank you for helping us keep the energy high and our staff fueled for success!
