ATA Bargaining Bulletin
March 14, 2025
To All ATA Unit Members
From: Ni’Kysha Johnson and Tammy Scorcia ATA Bargaining Co-Chairs, and the ATA Bargaining Team: Andrew Bitterolf, Jeanny Cuevas, Natali Lovera, Cindy Vernon, Sarah Smith, and Ralph Hernandez (ATA President), and Liz Pinkava (Executive Director).
On March 14, 2025, your ATA Bargaining Team met with the District as a whole group to continue negotiating the best contract language for all unit members, with a tentative agreement (TA) being reached. The full tentative agreement will be shared next week.
To ensure that all members are up to date and informed, we will hold a Q&A on Thursday, March 27th at 3pm and at 4pm at the ATA office. We encourage all members to attend.
Additionally, online elections through Simply Voting for paying dues members on the TA will be held from Monday, April 7, 2025 through Friday, April 11, 2025. Please note that non-paying dues members must join before this window to be eligible to vote. We strongly encourage all eligible members to participate in the voting process.
We appreciate your continuous support, which has been instrumental in reaching this agreement. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Double-Check Before You Pay!
Insurance billing mistakes are more common than you might realize. One of the most frequent errors is the application of deductible amounts to preventative services, which should be fully covered. Additionally, if you met your deductible in the last quarter of the year, it should carry over to the following year.
To avoid overpaying, you can contact Angie Heredia in the AUSD Risk Management division at (626) 943-6585 or via email at heredia_angie@ausd.us to look over your claim. A quick call or email to Angie could save you both money and hassle!
