Welcome back to another week in Mustang Country!

One of my favorite things to do is to be around campus snapping pics πŸ“· with staff and students. There is so much evidence of our RIDE beliefs (RIDE beliefs mean we are Responsive in our care, Inspired in our work, Dedicated to growth, and Equipped for success) in action, and I like to capture that to share with our community! You can see some of those pics throughout this newsletter.

This past week, I was out due to illness- it is that time of year again! Please be sure to review the Nurse Notes from Nurse Jones so that you and your family can mitigate the reach of illness in your family this fall.

Our athletic teams hit the turf and the court next week, so please see the ask that we have of promptly picking up your students and how that might impact you and your students.

Over the next few weeks, there will be so many ways for your students and you to make your mark at Moseley: consider joining us this Wednesday for our first general PTO meeting or talking with your student about competing in a UIL event. So that we can lean into our campus goal of Together We Cultivate and reach as many families as possible, the PTO Board and I have worked to schedule some evening meetings and some during-the-day meetings; additionally, these meetings will be live-streamed, and you can find more info about that by visiting our PTO website linked at the end of this newsletter.

Looking forward to a magnificent (and healthy!) week ahead!

Let's RIDE, 'Stangs.

Counselors on the Move this Week: Meet the Counselors in Classes!

Our school counselors will be visiting Social Studies classes on Monday, August 25th, and Tuesday, August 26th to lead a β€œMeet the Counselor” lesson. During this time, students will have the opportunity to get to know their counselors and learn about the services and supports offered through our counseling program.

Wellness Reminder: Normalize Big Feelings

Tip: πŸ’‘Middle school is full of change! Remind your student that it’s normal to feel nervous, excited, or even overwhelmed sometimes. A quick β€œI get itβ€”middle school is tough sometimes” can go a long way in building trust.

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

🫢 THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
