The Fowler Weekly
January 30-February 3
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Fowler Family,
Congratulations are in order for our students as they will hit the halfway point in our school year this Thursday. All students will receive a copy of their semester 2 schedule in Morning Meeting on Monday, 2/6. For the vast majority of students, Morning Meeting and core teachers will remain the same but any semester (i.e. health, 6th grade ed tech, some electives) classes will change beginning Monday, 2/6.
Our Choir program also put on an amazing performance last Thursday, so we want to give a big shout out to Mrs. Routh and the Choir students! #superproud
Be well and stay healthy,
Andy
HAPPENINGS
Congratulations to Fowler flutist Emilia Schroeder-Brandt, who performed in the All-State Middle School Honor Band in Eugene on January 12 and 13. The All-State Honor Band is composed of about 110 students from all over Oregon, who are selected by audition only to perform in the group. Emilia was the only student from TTSD selected for this year's honor band. Way to go, Emilia! Fowler is so proud of your accomplishment!

If you are unsure if this applies to you, please contact Teresa Weitz, tweitz@ttsd.k12.or.us. Below are some resources for available clinics to get your student up to date on their immunizations:
The SBHC will be open on Friday 2/3 – a TTSD no school day – we will be open for appointments for kids needing vaccines – families are encouraged to schedule ahead of time!
Federal and state mandatory testing is going to occur in English Language Arts & Math for all Fowler students this spring. Additionally, eighth grade students will be tested in Science. We rely on these assessments to assist with student placements, funding, and academic growth tracking. Eighth grade Science students will test during their regularly scheduled Science class during the week of March 13th-17th. We will have a special schedule for all students on April 17th-25th (excluding Wednesday) where they will test (ELA & Math) with their morning meeting group for an extended amount of time. Please ensure your students arrive on time, get a good night of sleep, and please avoid making any appointments during this time. Thank you for your support during this process.
