What an incredible run of action for Kingdom East athletics! Our 7th and 8th grade soccer teams put up impressive showings on the field, bringing home some fantastic victories alongside a few hard-fought battles. Even in the games that didn't end in a win, the growth, heart, and teamwork on display proved that these matches were about so much more than the final score. Meanwhile, our Cross Country runners had a week off from competition, but they didn’t rest—they used the extra practice time to hone their skills and dial in their preparation for their return to racing this week.

At the younger levels, the energy was just as contagious. The 5th and 6th grade soccer teams traveled to Danville and Saint Johnsbury for their first jamboree of the season, representing our district with incredible class. We received an overwhelming number of compliments from hosts and spectators alike about how well our student-athletes carried themselves on and off the field. Up at Lyndon Town School, the 3rd and 4th grade teams kicked off their competitive season by hosting the KESD Kickoff, playing a fun series of friendly matches against fellow district teams.

To cap it all off, our PreK–2nd grade program ran for its second week. Despite a chilly morning, these young athletes showed tremendous courage and determination, along with noticeable skill growth, in just a short seven days!

This fall, the Kingdom East School District (KESD) is excited to announce the addition of two new non-competitive club sports. KESD club sports are introductory programs focused on increasing interest, teaching basic skills, and promoting a love for a new sport. These programs are not currently offered in the district and are run in collaboration with the Kingdon East Afterschool Program. They take place primarily during after-school hours. This fall, we are offering two new sports in addition to the existing Bike Club and Cheer Club.

Coach Darien will be leading our cheer club this season. Please be patient as we finalize days and times, and grade-level teams. We will share additional details on sportsYou, once they are available.
