Hello Applewood Families:)

What a busy and fun week at Applewood! Congratulations to all the students who were PRIDE raffle winners and were able to participate in October's "Corell Carnival Bingo" !! I look forward to that event each month!!

What a fun Halloween at Applewood! Thank you to everyone who came out to line the parade route and cheer on our students. We loved seeing all the creative costumes! A big thank-you as well to everyone who purchased Boo Grams and supported our amazing PTO and our students!!

Our 3rd graders also worked hard this past week taking the fall Ohio State Reading Assessment! Once results are available, which we anticipate will be around the middle of December, we will send home each student's scores.

We look forward to welcoming our Veterans next week to celebrate the upcoming holiday! Keep those penny's coming!! Our jars are filling up!! 100 percent of donations will go to Greater Cleveland Fisher House!! If you are planning on attending and haven't RSVP'd to Mrs. Carson yet, please do so!! Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday, November 2nd, or Tuesday, November 3rd.

What a spooky fun night we had at Applewood! Thank you to all our wonderful families for making Fall Literacy Night a huge success! We cannot thank you enough for spending time with us. If you can, please fill out our literacy night survey we would love to get feedback for planning our future events. The transportation department has been busy all summer developing bus routes.

Transportation eligibility is determined by whether your residence is more than 1 mile from the school your child attends. BCSD will continue to use the StopFinder app. Click HERE for Frequently Asked Questions about using the StopFinder App. All routes will be live in StopFinder on August 11, 2026. If you have questions about your child’s transportation, please submit a Transportation Help Ticket. Tickets will be answered as quickly as possible in the order received. Please refrain from submitting more than one help ticket for the same concern.

If you have a Kindergartener or you are new to the district, please submit the Transportation Opt-In Form. For more information about the Transportation Department, please visit the Transportation Department page on the BCSD website.
