Good morning Lebanon School District Community,

June is here — and with it, the imminent close of the 2025–2026 school year. Throughout our district, from our youngest three-year-olds in Pre-K to our oldest seniors, more than 1,600 students have had an incredible year. Throughout our classrooms, music rooms, labs, and all the spaces in between, students have been living the Lebanon Vision of a Learner — taking risks, thinking creatively, and showing respect, empathy, and compassion for one another, day after day. On our stages and in our studios, students brought their imagination and creations to life, and filled venues across town with music and performances. On fields and courts and tracks and rinks and pools throughout New Hampshire, student-athletes have competed with heart, showing up for their teammates and representing Lebanon with pride.

None of this happens without the community that surrounds our students. To our families, support staff, teachers, school administrators, and community partners — thank you. And most of all, to our students: August 27 probably feels like a lifetime ago, but the growth this year — academically, artistically, socially, athletically, and as human beings — is remarkable.

This update will be back in mid-July for summer school updates and back-to-school information. In the meantime, congratulations to the Class of 2026 and happy (almost!) summer vacation!

With deep appreciation,

Amy Allen

Superintendent

This year, 11 staff members are retiring from the district. Together, they represent an incredible 163 years of service — nearly a quarter of a million hours spent in our schools. We celebrate them, we thank them, and send them off with tremendous gratitude and well-deserved applause.

Staff Shoutout: Student Wellness Advisory Committee Staff Shoutout: Student Wellness Advisory Committee

A heartfelt shout out and thank you to everyone who has gotten involved with the Student Wellness Advisory Committee this year — both at the district level and within each school. Your dedication champions the well-being of our students and staff. Highlights this year include: the Mount Lebanon School promoting good hygiene habits, Hanover Street School creating enriching walking field trips, the High School's hydroponic Flex Farm which has been growing crisp romaine and basil, and LMS' new labyrinth, which the LMS wellness committee built on the school grounds.

Mental health matters every day, and so do all of YOU who make these wonderful things happen. Thank you to every committee member, staff champion, and building leader for showing our community that student wellness is a priority. SWAC is looking for more members. If you have an interest in joining the committee, find out more here!

Technology Support Rocks! Technology Support Rocks!

An LMS teacher sent in the following shout-out: "Matt Brady is a joy to have at the middle school. When there are technology issues, he is quick to help fix those issues and does so with kindness and respect. He is always willing to find a way to help make things easier and is so easy to talk to. He's been helping in the Rock Band class at LMS, offering technology support but also musical support! Students have been asking him outside of class for pointers on instruments (bass specifically!), and he is able to articulate patterns and techniques to them so they feel successful. We are so lucky to have Matt Brady in the district and with Lebanon Middle School!"

Cartwheel. Here when you need us. Supporting the mental health needs of our students.

During the school year, students benefit from consistent routines, peer connection, and structured learning. Over the summer, those supports often shift and for students who navigate anxiety, emotional struggles, or transition challenges, that disruption can make things harder.

The good news: Cartwheel, our virtual mental health partner, is available all summer long to provide support including:

  • Virtual therapy for students to maintain progress, build skills, and prepare for the fall
  • Parent or caregiver guidance to support routines, communication, and expectations at home
  • Family therapy to navigate transitions or ongoing stressors together
  • Psychiatric support, when appropriate, to help maintain progress and support students’ well-being

As part of a pilot program, Cartwheel is available to families at LMS and LHS.

Even short-term or lower-frequency support over the summer can help students return to school feeling more prepared, and getting started takes just a few minutes. Learn more and complete this simple interest form.

Cartwheel has also created parent guides to help your family over the summer on topics like: helping your child build healthy screen habits, navigating summer without structure, strengthening family connections, and more! You can access the free resources here.
