Q4 Week 32 Apr 14-Apr 18

Week of
April 14th, 2025
π£ Principalβs Message
Weβre heading into a big week before the long weekend! This Wednesday, our 5th graders take their Science STAAR exam. A few weeks ago, we were proud to have 100% attendance for the Reading STAAR β which allowed us to avoid makeup testing and gain valuable instructional time. Letβs aim for the same with our 5th graders and give them the best sendoff into their upcoming field trip!
This week also brings our PTA and SBDM meetings, along with new initiatives to help us get every student registered for the upcoming school year. Early registration is critical to keeping class sizes balanced and ensuring a smooth start in August.
Thank you for your constant support as parents and champions of your children. The work of a teacher grows more demanding each year, and so does the role of a parent. But together, as a community, we create the village that surrounds and lifts up every child. Itβs an honor to walk alongside you as we prepare our students to compete and succeed in whatever path they choose.

A Sneak Peek Inside Our Future! π
- We are excited to share an early sneak peek of the renderings for our upcoming renovations! These images represent the vision for the future of our school β a future that honors our rich history while creating spaces designed for learning, growth, and community.
- While these designs are still in draft form and some details may continue to evolve, they give us a first look at the transformation taking place right here at Lipscomb. From learning environments to shared spaces, our goal is to create a building that reflects the energy and excellence of our students and staff.
- This is a milestone moment, and I couldnβt be more excited to take this next step together as a school community. I will continue to keep you informed as the project moves forward and more updates become available. After some hurdles with the City of Dallas and permitting, the team will be working hard this Spring and throughout the summer to get us back on track.
- Take a look at the renderings below and letβs continue to dream big for our Lions!

Letβs Wear Blue This Wednesday for Child Abuse Awareness Month π
- This Wednesday, we invite all of our Lipscomb Lions to wear blue in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
- Wearing blue is a simple but powerful way for us to come together as a school community and raise awareness for the safety and well-being of all children. Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and valued β not just at school, but everywhere.
- By wearing blue, weβre helping spark conversations and showing our collective commitment to creating a world where every child can thrive. Letβs fill the building with blue and stand united for our kids!
