Working on your Masterpiece...
Every person you pass in the hallways or see in the outside the school is carrying a hidden "under construction" sign. We’re all learning, failing, and trying again. But the beauty of our district and our communities isn't found in a collection of finished products—it’s found in the brilliant, messy process of us becoming who we are together.
The Question: "How would you move through this space differently today if you truly believed that your 'flaws' didn't disqualify your 'greatness'?"

Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
What you say...
Good morning!
I hope you are having a great weekend! I think this is the final push of 2nd spring where the weather will be amazing for the next couple days and then one more push of winter storms! Because...why not! Congratulations to those where were at state this week/weekend and what a great day it was to be a Husky! The results were amazing and the memories made is something that will never forget. Of course, on the other side of elation, there is the defeated and crushed. Although it is always easy to say it was a great honor, it still sucks on the inside. But, I will continue to say, be happy with the moment and know that it will also help you become better in the future.
There is a quiet, powerful truth in the idea that you are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress at the exact same moment. In this space, we recognize that every staff member, student, and patron is navigating that every single day. We often focus so much on the "masterpiece"—the finished project, the high grade, the professional milestone—that we forget the "work in progress" is where the actual life happens. The reality is that simply showing up and crossing the threshold is more than half the battle. It is a brave act of presence that says you are enough exactly as you are, before you’ve even opened a book or started a task. Showing up is the foundational "yes" that makes everything else possible, and it is a victory worth celebrating in a world that constantly asks for more.
Because we are all "works in progress," we must also acknowledge that everyone around us is fighting a battle we know nothing about. We see the polished exterior of those we pass in the halls, but we don't see the hours of building, the dust, or the repairs happening behind the scenes. This is why extending grace is not just a polite gesture; it is a necessary acknowledgment of our shared humanity. When we offer grace to a colleague who is tired, a student who is struggling, or a patron who seems lost, we are honoring the hidden work they are doing to keep going. We are choosing to believe that everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have, and that belief creates a sanctuary where people feel safe enough to keep growing.
Ultimately, there is no such thing as "too much" kindness. In a world of finite resources and strict deadlines, kindness is the one currency that never runs out and the only thing we can never truly have enough of. It is the bridge between our "masterpiece" selves and our "work in progress" hearts. By leading with kindness, we remind each other that being "enough" isn't a destination we reach once we’ve perfected ourselves—it is the ground we stand on right now. Whether you are here to teach, to learn, or simply to find a quiet corner, know that your presence is valued, your struggles are respected, and your journey is more than enough.
Have a great rest of your week!
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
