Bricks 4 Kidz: Game On-Mario & Friends

Grades K - 5

Each class is a fun and educational LEGO-building adventure with Bricks 4 Kidz. We use age-appropriate models for different levels of building skills. This hands-on class explores STEAM concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) primarily using LEGO Bricks, in which children will develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in a fun and engaging way. Even our youngest and newest students will learn how to make mechanical LEGO models that move and groove. As they advance in building skills, they’ll also motorize their weekly model for even more learning fun!

Game On - Mario and Friends!

Do you love VIDEO GAMES?!? We do too! This class is inspired by classic and modern video games, with a particular focus on Super Mario and his friends. Don’t worry, we won’t be PLAYING video games during our sessions, rather we will be building models that represent Mario and other familiar game characters we all know and love! While we build these moving models we will be discovering how motorized models work, how weight and gear ratios impact moving models, and develop our creativity and design sense! Participants will receive a video game themed Pez character on the last day of this series!
