BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH: October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying Prevention Month is a nationwide call to action around educating communities to their roles in bullying prevention and to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention. Everyone can share in the efforts to Stop Bullying and Stand Up for Kindness. Each week will have a theme filled with activities and resources to share out with staff and students, culminating with our annual celebration of Red Ribbon Week from October 23rd - October 31st.
πBIG NEWS! π Mustang Color Run is FRIDAY
Weβre excited to remind everyone that our Color Run event is happening this Friday, October 31st! We encourage all parents to join us in cheering on our students and celebrating this fun-filled day of fitness and school spirit.
Parents are also invited to volunteer during the event to help sprinkle the non-allergenic color powder as students run by. π Sign up here: https://bit.ly/25ColorRunVolunteer
Please ensure that students come dressed in comfortable athletic attire on Friday. Each student will receive their special event shirt on the day of the Color Run, and all students are encouraged to participate.
A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTA for sponsoring this event and providing every student with a race day shirt. Your continued support makes this memorable experience possible for our students!
WE HAD FUN THIS WEEK!
π¬π¬π¬WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH ππππ DONATIONS
We are excited to host our annual Math or Treat event on Monday, October 30th!
To help make this event a success, we kindly ask for donations of sealed, unopened, store-purchased candy. Your support is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to seeing you at this fun community celebration!
BUT SAFETY FIRST....
Just a reminder.....All candy, desserts, baked goods (store bought/homemade), or any other edible items are not to be sold or distributed at school or on the bus unless approved in advance by school administration. Per our Student Code of Conduct, students who do not adhere to this expectation are subject to disciplinary action for violation 7A: Failure to Follow Rules and all candy or food items will be confiscated. Please discuss this expectation and possible consequences with your student(s) as this will be taken very seriously. This is due to recent national and state reports about students sharing edible items and synthetic medications with other students that contain very harmful substances.
Please know that taking this measure will help us maintain a safe environment for all students. You can help us protect your student(s) by requesting that they not eat anything given to them by another person, anything that they have not brought from your home or anything not in its original sealed package.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping all of our students safe at school!
JOB WELL DONE TO OUR BETA CLUB LEADERS
A huge shout-out to our amazing Beta Club Leaders who brought home three awards from the Beta Club Leadership Summit this past week at Great Wolf Lodge! Job well done! Weβre so proud of you! ππ

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!!!
ALL IN ON ATTENDANCE β Every Day Adds Up
As fall activities begin, itβs easy to let a day or two slip byβbut each absence matters. Keep attendance strong to build momentum for the rest of the year.
Students who miss 2β4 days in the first quarter are 5 times more likely to be chronically absent by yearβs end.
The late bell rings at 7:40 am. Students should be in their classroom ready to learn at that time.
AWESOME INSTRUCTION
