Richmond Tiger Mascot

Richmond students will be participating in an exciting schoolwide activity to help name our Richmond Tiger mascot! Student Council members helped narrow down a list of creative name options, and all students will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite during STEM class. Once votes are collected, we will announce the winning name at an upcoming all-school assembly. We are excited to see which name our students choose to represent the Richmond Tiger!

Snow Cone Day

Richmond students had a blast enjoying a snow cane during their recess today. Congratulations to our students for meeting the school wide goal of $10,000 for our fun run! Thank you to PTO for providing snow cones for all of our students!

“Bags to Benches” Update

Richmond Student Council is excited to share that we have officially earned a Trex bench through the incredible effort of our students, staff, and families who collected plastic bags all year long. This is a wonderful example of our community working together to support both our school and the environment.

The bench is currently on display in our school foyer for students to see and celebrate. Soon, it will be moved to the front of the building so that our entire community can enjoy it for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort—your teamwork and commitment made this accomplishment possible!

Spring i-Ready

April 2026

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The end of year i-Ready diagnostic assessment is scheduled for students to take between May 4th - May 15th for elementary and middle school students. This end of year check is one measure of how students made progress towards their end of year growth goal. Your school will provide you with more specific days as to when your child will take their assessments. After the diagnostic assessments, your child will receive an update to their lessons assigned under the personalized pathway (MyPath). MyPath will be available to students through July.

What should I know and expect as a parent/guardian?

  • Computer adaptive assessments are designed to determine what standards students know and don’t know yet.

  • Remind your child they will see questions they might not know the answer to and some easier questions. We need to know what they do know and do not know yet. This is expected.

  • The purpose of the i-Ready diagnostic is not to give your child a score or grade, but to determine how to best support their learning.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a partner in your child’s learning. Your child’s report will be available online in your child’s i-Ready account. If you have any questions about i-Ready, please do not hesitate to contact me, your principal, or your child’s teachers. You can also learn more about i-Ready by visiting https://sites.google.com/d303.org/i-readyresources/home.

Accessing your child’s i-Ready Diagnostic Results reports online

The For Families diagnostic results report is now easily accessible from your child’s i-Ready dashboard upon completion of their diagnostics. In lieu of being backpacked home, this will be considered the primary method for providing these results to you. Please click here for directions on how to access the report. You may contact your child’s school if a hard copy of the report needs to be provided to you.

Sincerely,

David Chiszar

Executive Director of Assessment and Accountability

] D303 Facilities Committee Report: Strong Schools = Strong Community

Superintendent Dr. Paul Gordon shared the details of the April 13 meeting of the School Board, where members of the D303 Communitywide Education Facilities Committee joined district leadership in presenting and discussing the Committee’s Final Report.

“I feel we’re at a crossroads,” D303 parent and Facilities Committee Member Alice Froemling told the School Board. “We have great staff, great teachers, great people who are in our schools every day working with our kids. But we’ve achieved our great success not because of our facilities but in spite of our facilities… We have to do something.”
