Hello FamiLEE,

We had a great week! We have progress reports coming out this Wednesday. Please ask to see your child's paper progress report and encourage them to finish strong. We are requiring students to do academic overtime during club time if they have not completed assignments or grades are not exhibiting excellence. Please remind your young adult about the expectation to complete work on time and stay focused as we wind down the year.

This Thursday and Friday, our Dance Magnet will perform their fall show "Legacy" in the theatre at 7:00pm both nights. Please plan to come out and support our amazingly talented students - we promise you'll love it. The schedule for our end of the year awards day ceremonies is below. We would love to see you at your child's awards day ceremony in May.

We need your help. Students are not allowed to walk back and forth to their cars after entering the building unless an administrator approves. All email checkouts must be submitted by noon daily. If not submitted by noon, you must physically check your young adult out. All checkouts must happen before 3:15p.m.

I want to continue to emphasize the importance of all students being here each day and on time. Good attendance is essential for achievement in school and we need your child here as much as possible so that we can move forward as a school community. When your child misses school for any reason, please send excuse notes to LHS.Attendance@hsv-k12.org.

Below is our current attendance rate. We have a goal of 95% this year. Please help us reach this goal by ensuring your child is here every day. If you child has to be out, please send excuses. The NEW attendance email address is LHS.attendance@hsv-k12.org.

• Attention FamiLEE! Mark your calendars for our upcoming awards days! First up are the Seniors on May 3rd followed by the Freshmen and Sophomores on May 14th and then the Juniors on May 15th!
• The SOAR HBCU Scholars Program is for rising 11th grade students. This is a great, FREE, opportunity that will help them understand what college life will be like after graduation. Please see the flyer below for more information!

• Attention Students and Parents/Guardians! Please note that students have the opportunity to visit their teachers for help during FamiLEE Time (11:30am-12:15pm) instead of going to clubs every Tuesday through Friday. Please see the attached schedule of teacher office hours and encourage your child to take advantage of this opportunity!

• Attention rising Senior Parents & Guardians! Consider attending the selective college planning info session hosted by our HCS College Counselors at 6:00pm on April 22nd, 2025 at the South Huntsville Public Library!

• Shout-out to Lee High School senior Londan Harris who signed to play basketball at Snead State Community College next year! Congratulations, Londan!!
• Shout-out to our Special Olympics volunteers from this week! Not pictured are all the JROTC students who helped as well.
• Shout-out to Lee High School Sophomore Tatiana Mills! She won 3rd place in the Division 2 Algebra 2 Math Team Competition at Grissom last weekend!!
