Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
Well, January has certainly reminded us that we are still in the thick of winter! I hope all of you have remained safe and warm as we navigate this arctic chill! I’m asking students to dress warmly, so please help reinforce this as they leave for school in the mornings. We certainly appreciate your support with this.
February 12th will be here before you know it! Please join us at 5:00 p.m. to hear a short presentation about “all things scheduling” at BHS. At 5:30 p.m., we will move throughout the gym and foyer for the scheduling fair. Make sure to stop by all the different tables so that you learn about all the options available for your students at Batavia High School. If your student plans to take a College Credit Plus (CCP) course for the 2026-2027 school year, please make sure you attend this meeting or reach out to your student’s guidance counselor if you have any further questions.
An ordering link for the 2025-2026 yearbook is in the “take note” section below. If you would like to order a yearbook for your student, please order through this link. The high school yearbook is a fall delivery book, which means that it will arrive in the Fall of 2026 and will include everything from the 2025-2026 school year.
We hope you have a safe, warm weekend.
In service to our Bulldogs.

Hello, Families.
The weather has definitely reminded us how winter can be this time of the year. Please remind student drivers of a few items;
Report any parking issues that arise to me via email. (Currently some of the parking spots are covered with snow due to plowing.)
See me for a 2nd semester parking pass.
If you have an injury, or other medical need, and a doctor’s note we can provide a closer parking spot to accommodate.
At the end of the day, student-athletes entering the parking lot must wait until 2:25pm for traffic to clear. (Coaches have been made aware of this also.)
Drive safely!!
Have a great weekend.
Joe Moorehead, Dean of Students

The FAFSA Application is Open!!!!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students entering or attending college for the 2026-27 academic year is up and running! Any student that is thinking about attending any type of education/training after high school should complete the FAFSA - technical school, trade school, community college, public university, or private university. The FAFSA is what determines your eligibility for student loans, grants, work-study, and scholarships - thus, it is VERY important that you complete and submit it. Keep in mind, all students are eligible for student loans! We will continue to share information and helpful resources with you and your family as we receive it!
The Ohio Department of Higher Education would like to share that the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available for all families to complete. Families who want to start filling out the FAFSA now can start the process at studentaid.gov.
