And the Special This Week is...
We Are Authors
Ms. Parisi's third and fourth graders recently partnered with the George Holmes Memorial Library to showcase their newly published books. The students worked diligently to create informational texts focusing on various animals' defense mechanisms. At the library event, visitors had the opportunity to visit author stations, where each student proudly presented their research and writing. It was a wonderful celebration of learning, creativity, and collaboration between the school and the community.

We Need Your Input...
Dear parents,
As part of our commitment to providing the best possible support and resources for students receiving special education services, we invite you to participate in the annual Parent Involvement survey conducted by the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED).
This brief survey is to gauge the level of parent involvement in our schools and how it contributes to improving services and outcomes for children with special education. The survey window is April 11, 2025 until May 23rd, 2025. All responses are anonymous.
To access the survey, visit this NHDOE website.
Please complete a separate survey for each child receiving special education services in your family. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child's education.
News From Ms. Curley
Innovation in Kindergarten
This week we began learning about sunlight and warmth. Students explored what traits in trees make the best shade, such as size and length. Students were then asked to design a shade maker for cows in a wide open field, but they couldn't use trees since they would take too long to grow.

A Word From Mrs. Neilsson
Tempo and Climbing the Ladder
Kindergarten studied Tempo in music - learning about fast and slow. We found many ways to move, sing, and play instruments at different speeds. They loved naming their hand puppets for the song "Walk Old Joe".
1st and 2nd Grades learned about the musical alphabet called Solfege. The "Doe A Deer" song from Sound of Music was very popular and they loved playing the Solfege ladder using different instruments.
3rd and 4th graders continued their study of the recorder. In addition, students practiced writing and reading different music notes on the staff.
