Dear Parents,

I hope everyone is doing well! 💛 We had a bit of a challenging pick-up lately at Hillcrest, so I’d like to remind everyone of a few important guidelines to help keep things safe and smooth for all families:

🚫 Please do not park or drive on the opposite side of Vernon during pick-up.
♿ Handicap spaces are reserved for vehicles with valid handicap permits only.
🏠 Please avoid blocking driveways or parking in front of homes on Vernon.

Many students are working hard to follow the rules ✅ and make the most of their playtime, whether it’s lunch recess 🍎 or class recess 🛝.

Please take a few minutes to chat with your child about our school expectations and recess rules 🙏. Together, we can help them grow in the right direction 🌱✨.

Speech Services Update

We want to reassure families that if your child currently receives speech services at our school, those services will continue without interruption. While there is a staff change happening within our team, student support remains a priority, and services will be maintained through the district. Please note that details about staff transitions are confidential, and we appreciate your understanding.

🍽️ School Lunch Option for Students Who Bring Lunch from Home

Hillcrest Family,

If your child brings lunch from home but would also like a school lunch, they are welcome to get a tray!

They simply need to choose “school lunch” during the classroom lunch count and then get in the lunch line at school.

REVIEWING SCHOOL EXPECTATIONS:

Mrs. Saad visited every classroom this week 🏫 to review our School Expectations with students 📋. As a follow-up, students were given a homework assignment 📝 to take home the School Expectation Matrix and review it with their parents 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. This collaborative effort is all about teamwork 🤝 and helping our Huskies grow in the right direction 🐾🌟!
