Principal's Weekly Message
Happy Sunday GW Families,
As we share our final newsletter of the 2025-2026 school year, I find myself reflecting on what an incredible year it has been for our school community. This newsletter is also my last as your principal, making it a bittersweet opportunity to celebrate our accomplishments, express my gratitude, and say thank you.
Before anything else, I would like to acknowledge Father's Day and the many ways this day may be celebrated and experienced. Whether you are celebrating a father, a father figure, remembering someone special, spending time with loved ones, or observing the day in your own way, I hope it brings moments of peace, joy, and connection.
This week, we had the privilege of celebrating our 6th Grade Moving Up Ceremonyβa wonderful milestone that recognized the hard work, growth, and achievements of our students. It was a truly special event filled with pride, excitement, and optimism for the future. We are so proud of our sixth graders and know they are well-prepared for the next chapter of their educational journey.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our PTA Executive Board, our Sixth Grade Committee, and our Fundraising Committee members for their countless hours of planning, organizing, and supporting this memorable event. Their dedication and commitment helped create a meaningful celebration for our students and families, and we are deeply grateful for all they do throughout the year.
As I prepare to transition to a new school community, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the opportunity and privilege of serving as your principal for the past two years. Thank you for your trust, partnership, support, and unwavering commitment to our school. Together, we have celebrated successes, navigated challenges, and worked to create a caring and supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive.
I will always be grateful for the relationships I have built with our students, families, staff, and community members. The memories we have shared and the accomplishments we have achieved together will remain with me for years to come.
As summer begins, I wish you and your families a safe, healthy, restful, and joy-filled break. May you enjoy time with loved ones, create lasting memories, and return refreshed for another successful school year. I also wish continued success and happiness to this extraordinary school community that I have been honored to call home.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your children's educational journey and for making these past two years so meaningful.
With heartfelt gratitude and warmest wishes,
Ms. Milliner - Proud Principal
