Municipal Election & School Drop off - October 26
Please note that parking around the school may be more difficult than usual on Monday, October 26 due to the municipal election being held at our school. The gymnasium will be in use for voting throughout the entire school day, and voters will be coming and going from the building.
If you are dropping off or picking up your child, please allow extra time, use caution in the parking lot, and be mindful of the increased traffic and pedestrian activity.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation in helping keep our school community safe.
🍎 Crunch Week 2026 is coming!
Resurrection School will be participating on Wednesday, October 28 in support of Brant Food For Thought's Student Nutrition Program. Families are invited to log in to School Cash Online to make a donation. Every dollar raised helps provide nutritious food for students and supports our school's nutrition program.
Thank you for your generosity! 🍎
Flag Football Tournament - October 28
The Senior Flag Football team will be attending a tournament on Wednesday, October 28. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit while competing against other schools. Please ensure your child comes dressed appropriately for the weather, brings a water bottle, and wears suitable athletic footwear. We look forward to a fun and exciting day of competition!
Ontario Dress Purple Day - October 29
On Thursday, October 29, our school and the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board will recognize Ontario Dress Purple Day. Students and staff are encouraged to wear purple as a visible sign of our commitment to the safety, well-being, and belonging of all children and youth.
Dress Purple Day reminds us that supporting children, youth, and families is a shared responsibility. It is an opportunity to reflect on how we can create a caring school community where every student feels safe, valued, respected, and supported. This message connects beautifully with our Board theme, Becoming Artisans of Peace, by encouraging us to show kindness, compassion, and understanding in our daily interactions.
By wearing purple, we help reinforce the message that no child or family is alone and that there are caring adults in our school and community who are ready to listen, support, and help when needed.
We look forward to seeing our school community dressed in purple on October 29. đź’ś
Halloween Dress-Up & Community Walk - October 30th
Children are permitted to wear their costumes to school; however, costumes must not conflict with our dress code or our Catholic values. Blood, gore, and violent or frightening costumes are not permitted. Costume accessories such as knives, guns, swords, spears, or other weapons must be left at home. Masks are discouraged as they can obstruct a student's ability to see and participate safely throughout the day. Please note that the school is not responsible for lost or damaged costumes or costume accessories.
On Friday, October 30, students will also participate in a school walk through the neighbourhood in their Halloween costumes. We plan to leave the school at approximately 9:20 a.m., weather permitting. This is a fun opportunity for students to celebrate Halloween together while enjoying some fresh air and community spirit. Please ensure costumes are comfortable for walking and appropriate for the weather.
October 30th - Pumpkin Carving Contest
On the morning of October 30th, families are invited to bring their carved pumpkin to the front of the school. Three tables will be set up and pumpkins will be separated into three categories: Scary, Funny and Creative. During the day, children will come to view the pumpkins and will choose their favourite in each category. The family that wins each category will get a $25 cineplex gift card. Please make sure the scary ones aren’t too scary and are in alignment with our Catholic values. Please keep in mind our young audience—some being only 3 and 4 years old.
