Wyneken Weekly Parent Note
Week of October 25, 2026
Brief Note from Mrs. Nidlinger
I hope you’re enjoying fall break and getting some good rest with your kids. We’re excited to have everyone back on Monday, October 26, refreshed and ready to finish the semester strong.
Heads up: ILEARN Checkpoint 1 Coming Soon!
Students in grades 3–8 will take ILEARN Checkpoint 1 during the first week of November. Please make sure your kids are getting plenty of sleep that week and starting each day with a good breakfast.
There’s no need for anyone to stress over this one. It gives our teachers a clear picture of where each student is so we know how to support them for the rest of the year.
Make-Up Day Due to flooding school was not in session on September 18th. We will plan on making this day up on Wednesday November 25th. This will be a virtual learning day to provide flexibility for families that may be out of town for the holiday. All e-learning work will go home with students Friday November 20th or be available via google classroom.
SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, Nov 7 at 9:00 AM. We’re putting in new landscaping at Wyneken and we need volunteers! More hands means the job gets done faster and costs less. Bring gloves and a shovel if you have them. More details coming soon!
Over break. Keep the reading going and practice those math facts. Twenty minutes a day keeps the habit alive.
Easter egg hunt! The 🕵🏼♀️ is hiding somewhere new this week (this one doesn't count!) . Email us or stop by the office when you find it for a small treat.
The Warrior Way: Respect God · Respect Others · Respect Learning
⛪Chapel Offerings⛪
Our second quarter chapel offerings being collected to sponsor our Christmas families through the Lutheran Social Services. We are given this opportunity each year to share our blessings with those who are less fortunate. The chapel offerings will be used to purchase gift cards for gifts and food.

A message from Bellmont High School Athletics
Bellmont High School Athletic Department loves to see the stands filled and the attendance in supporting our student athletes at our home events this year. This attendance has been accompanied by a substantial increase in the number of younger students opting to play in various open areas around the facilities, creating a supervision and safety concern. In the last two home football games, supervising staff have had to address multiple injuries and disruptive behaviors of some youth spectators.
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all spectators, Bellmont High School will no longer allow footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, sports equipment, or any other recreational items to be brought into athletic events, including football games.
Any balls or sports equipment brought into the stadium will be confiscated upon entry or when discovered during the event and will not be returned until the conclusion of the game.
This policy is being implemented to:
- Improve spectator safety
- Prevent disruptions during contests
- Protect participants, spectators, and facility property
We encourage students and families to leave all sports equipment at home or in their vehicles when attending Bellmont athletic events.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work to provide a safe and positive game-day environment for everyone.
