Dear Farnham Families,

Our TK and Kindergarten students wrapped up their Color Days this week, finishing their study of color with lots of excitement and joy. It has been wonderful to see their learning come to life through this celebration!

We also want to share that our wonderful crossing guard, Ms. Tania, has accepted a new job opportunity and will be finishing her time with Farnham next Friday. We are so grateful for her service in keeping our students and families safe each day. Please be sure to wish her well as you cross Woodard this coming week.

With Ms. Tania’s departure, Farnham is seeking a new crossing guard. If you or someone you know is interested, please see the job description below and reach out to Ms. Patricia in the office for more information.

Lastly, mark your calendars! International Walk to School Day is Wednesday, October 1st. We invite families to meet us at Houge Park at 7:50 a.m. to walk to school together. It’s a great way to celebrate community, exercise, and safe routes to school.

Be well,

Amy O’Hehir

Farnham Principal

A NOTE FROM YOUR HSC BOARD:

Hello Fabulous Farnham Families!

We're halfway through our fall Giving Campaign and have hit 19% of our $40,000 goal! Your support helps fund amazing things like field trips, assemblies, class supplies, Starting Arts, and more. Please consider giving today—every bit helps us reach our goal!

Ready to get involved this fall? Here are some fun ways to participate with the HSC:
  • Family Night Out at Chipotle: Join us Tuesday, September 30th, from 4-8pm at Chipotle on Camden. Grab dinner or a snack and support the Farnham HSC! Ordering online? Use code CGKPN24.
  • International Walk to School Day: Walk with us from Houge Park to school on Wednesday, October 1st, at 7:50am. We'll gather as a group and head to the front gates to start the school day together!
  • Fall Book Fair: Shop after school during the first week of conferences, October 6th-10th. We'll have a later option on Wednesday for families. We need volunteers to make it happen, so please sign up here if you can help!
  • Pumpkin Walk: Our big fall community event is October 24th from 3:30-7:30pm, featuring games, a bake sale, Haunted House, Trick or Treat Alley, and more! We need your help to make it a reality—consider signing up to decorate, run a station, or clean up. Find more info and sign-up links here.
