Hello Feeney Families,
Our students had a wonderful time learning about fall this week! They discovered the wonders of leaves, acorns, apples, pumpkins, and even the letter B. It’s been amazing to watch their growth and progress in such a short time. They’ve formed strong bonds with their peers, mastered the morning routines (with some helpful visual aids), and are working on building their independence and confidence as young learners. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.

Social Emotional Learning Survey
Dear Feeney Families:
As part of our curriculum review process, Walpole Public Schools is actively evaluating our current and prospective Preschool social emotional learning (SEL) curriculum resources. Part of this process is gathering feedback from parents and caregivers about our current Preschool SEL resources and instruction. Please take a few moments to complete this form to provide us with your insight as part of our review process.

Conferences in November
Our fall parent and educator confernces will be held on:
Wednesday, November 12 from 5:00-7:00 pm
Friday, November 14 from 12:00 -3:00 pm
Thursday, November 20 from 5:00 -7:00 pm
This is an opportunity for you to meet with your child's teacher and related service providers to learn about your child's progress and ask questions. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.
Arrival Traffic Reminders
As you enter the DFP/Elm Street School campus, please drive slowly and with extra caution. During our arrival time, Elm Street School staff and Extended Day students are also arriving and entering the building. We want to ensure a safe and smooth start to the day for everyone on our shared campus.

As Cooler Temperatures Arrive...
As the weather grows cooler, a gentle reminder to please label your child's clothing - sweatshirts, coats, etc. Layers are great this time of year and we want to be sure everything is returned to you! Also sneakers are ideal footwear for the preschool.
Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Updates
Our next PAC meeting is Tuesday, October 21at 6:00pm. We hope you are able to join in person. If not, a link will be shared on Monday.
There are several great items on the DFP Merchandise site- with 20% going to DFP! Please click on the QR code to see all items for sale. THE LAST DAY TO ORDER IS NOVEMBER 1, 2025.
DFP is now participating in Box Tops for Education!
The Box Tops app makes it easy to earn cash for the school of your choice, whether it’s your child’s school or a local school that could use a little help. Please download the app "Box Tops for Education" and search for Daniel Feeney Preschool (you will see it listed as Daniel Freeney Preschool - that should be resolved soon). You can earn money for DFP while you shop!
Halloween at DFP
As Halloween approaches, we’ll be celebrating in a simple, preschool-friendly way! Children are welcome to wear black and orange on Thursday, October 31st. We ask that costumes be left at home so we can keep our daily routines consistent and comfortable for all children. We’ll enjoy some fun seasonal fall activities while maintaining the familiar structure of our preschool day.

Health and Wellness Protocols
Fall is here and so are the colds, coughs, etc. Please be certain to follow the district health and wellness protocols. Thank you.
Supplies for DFP
Thank you for your generous classroom donations of paper towels, tissues, and other supplies. They are greatly appreciated - and needed. If you would like to make a donation, you may send them to my attention and I will distribute them to all staff. Thank you!

As a reminder, tuition is due the first of each month. Thank you.
