Note from the Principal - Mr. Reynolds

Hi everyone,

The countdown has begun. There are sixteen days of school left. The last sixteen days will be lots of fun with field trips, field days, reward parties, and other end of year activities. But it is also going to be bittersweet because we are coming to an end of another school year where students will be moving up another grade and our fifth graders will be moving over to Marlette Jr/Sr High. Before you know it, they will be walking across the graduation stage like the Class of 2024 this upcoming Sunday at 2pm. The Marlette Elementary staff, along with you and your family, will cherish every moment of the rest of this school year.

LAST CALL - Classroom Placement Forms 24-25 School Year

Classroom Placement forms for the 24-25 school year will be available from April 15th through May 15th in the elementary school office or can be printed off from the Marlette Community Schools website. The completion of this form is NOT A GUARANTEE OF PLACEMENT. Current year teachers and administration will split classrooms for the next year that creates the best educational environment for all students. Plus, there may be a shift of staff for next school year that may be unforeseen.

Still Enrolling Pre-School and Kindergarten

We are still enrolling children 3 to 6 years old for Pre-school and Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. You can pick up pre-school applications and Kindergarten enrollment packets at the Marlette Elementary main office from 8am to 4:30pm on school days. Our pre-school and GSRP are filling fast with few spots remaining. If you have any questions, please contact the elementary school office at (989) 635-7427.

Sociology Study - David Distelrath, Marlette Alumnus

David Distelrath, a doctorate student with the University of Paris and former Marlette Community Schools student, is doing a study of Thumb residents and how they meet their household needs and the unique challenges they faced. Notes will be going home on Thursday if this is something you may be interested in participating to help his study.
