Megan's Message

Two weeks under our belt and things are moving relatively smoothly. Thanks to those of you who came to Open House. Feel free to reach out to your child/ren's teacher/s if you were not able to make it and need the information. This week we have IMSSA testing and MCLASS fluency testing begins in all grades. This helps us understand how your child is reading and understanding what they read. These assessments guide our instruction and allow us to differentiate the needs of our diverse population. Students, overall, have been following school wide expectations and we are off to a great start. We sure appreciate your partnership!

No Jaywalking please

Safety Alert: We have seen a recent rise in jaywalking during morning drop-off. Officer Weiss, our School Resource Officer, reminds all families that jaywalking is unsafe and illegal.

Parents, please set a positive example for our students. Due to safety concerns and recent tragedies, Officer Weiss will be strictly enforcing crossing laws. Please ensure you and your children always use designated crosswalks with our crossing guards. Thank you for your cooperation!

Smart Watch Phones in backpacks

Hello there, Please note students who have phone watches will have to put them in their backpacks first thing and then take them out at dismissal. Cell phones and watches are not permitted for use during school hours. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please note that drop off procedures for PREK are the same as last year. Parents are expected to bring the student to the door between 8:00 and 8:10 for start of school. If PREK4 students are here before school with their siblings and you playing, we ask for safety reasons that the PREK4 students play on the preschool playground rather than the bigger play structures on the lower playground. Thank you!
