September P2 Focus - TEAMWORK September P2 Focus - TEAMWORK

For the 25-26 school year, each month we are going to focus on one of the P2 character traits as a school. During the month, the students will discuss the trait and have the opportunity to nominate their classmates who are modeling those traits. At the end of each month, we will come together as a school to celebrate and recognize the individual students who have been nominated for that trait. We will also engage in school-wide celebrations at these monthly events.

For the month of September, we are going to be focusing on TEAMWORK. Teamwork means working together to get something done. Everyone helps out, shares ideas, and supports each other. When we use teamwork, we can do big things and have fun along the way. Our school-wide activity for TEAMWORK will be to make Tye Dye Shirts. We are asking that each student bring in one white t-shirt to Tye Dye with their class to wear to our TEAMWORK Assembly on September 26th.

As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, our district will be holding a District-Wide Safety Day on Friday, September 12th. On this day, all students will participate in a series of safety drills, including fire, lockdown, evacuation, and severe weather procedures.

These drills are designed to ensure that students and staff are well-prepared in the event of an emergency. We approach each drill in a calm and age-appropriate manner to help students feel safe and informed.

FTC would like to thank everyone who came out last week to our Back to School Social; it was good to see some new faces, as well as familiar ones!

  • We currently have our Spirit Wear Sale going on now; place your orders by September 15 to get your gear. We've got great winter hats, bags, sweatshirts as well for the fall and winter season. Make sure your kiddos have their spiritwear to wear at school as well! Merchandise will be delivered 2-3 weeks after the sale ends.
  • Our Monthly Meeting and Room Party Planning is on Monday, September 15, at the Albright Cafeteria. Stop by for a pizza, drinks and to meet some district parents. We'll be planning Preschool-5th-grade room parties from 6:30-7, and then at 7, our monthly meeting begins, where we plan for all of our fundraisers and events. Stop by to check us out!
  • Save the date for Tuesday, September 16, when we're having our annual McTeacher Night from 4-8 pm at McDonald's. Say Hi to all of your favorite district Staff, and give back to FTC. 20% comes back to us, and bring your cash for the delicious cookies; McDonald's generously donates 100% of these proceeds back to us!
FTC is already hard at work this year helping out teacher requests; be on the lookout in our monthly newsletter to see how our fundraising makes a difference!

Thanks so much, and any questions, please reach out to Lisa Auriemme at lauriemme@saltcreek48ftc.org
