MTSS Lead Weekly Updates

Students in K-6 will complete the following between August 11-29:​

• iReady Reading Diagnostic​
• iReady Math Diagnostic​
• Grade appropriate Fall Literacy Tasks (refer to Minimum Matrix iReady Suite (K-3 or 4-8)​
• Fall Written Expression​

​All students in K-8 should complete the iReady Reading and Math Diagnostic to capture baseline data and create personalized instruction pathways.​

Students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in intervention courses should complete the iReady Reading and/or Math Diagnostic(s) based on intervention plan.

The lockdown browser should be on all district owned devices. It can be downloaded from the Company Portal if it is not on the device following any pending updates.

Lockdown browser not being installed on our devices generated a multitude of errors. It must be installed on the device to complete the Diagnostic. i-Ready Secure LockDown Browser Info (08.04.2025).pdf MSCS IT confirms it is available in the Company Portal and once installed on the device is operable.

Troubleshooting Tips:

1. Have you confirmed that the Lockdown Browser is installed on the devices that are being used?A. If the browser is installed on the device and you are getting error messages, please email me a video and/or screenshot so that I can follow up with the vendor and MSCS IT for further directions. B. If the browser is not installed on the device and you have followed the step sheet and the browser is not accessible, you will need to call 416-2700 and create a ticket to have a tech come investigate.

2. Have you verified that the Diagnostic is assigned to the student? Some students are so recently enrolled that they are not yet in PowerSchool. Please allow 72 hours from time student is in PowerSchool until they populate in the platform.

3. Did you verify the student password was reset to these requirements? See this information from MSCS IT regarding student password resets.

Literacy Tasks can be entered manually but must first be assigned to the class in order to enter the scores manually using the bulk actions feature once assigned. Curriculum Associates did an update over the weekend and it did impact the school admin view of the literacy tasks/entry, but teachers had minimal impact. RTI2A Dashboard Access: MTSS leads who are listed as the lead in the Principal Leadership Launchpad now have access to the RTI2A dashboard within the MSCS Compass. If you do not have access, check with your school Principal to ensure you are listed as the lead for your school within the Leadership Launchpad app.

RTI2A Tier Data: The RTI2A dashboard is currently updating to reflect your 2025-2026 students who are enrolled in your school building. The students' tier 2 and 3 information in the dashboard reflects the TNPulse data from 2024-2025 school year. Schools seeking to verify correct schedule placement during August can use the PowerBi RTI Overview or the 6-12 Scheduling Reconciliation Report to determine currently enrolled students for the 25-26SY with student plans from Spring 2025. The students who had plans in Spring 2025 should be enrolled in intervention courses. Beginning Wednesday, September 3, 2025 the dashboard will reflect TNPulse data from 2025-2026 and will no longer display prior year (24-25SY) TNPulse data.

RTI2A Universal Screener Data: The RTI2A Universal Screener reports are now updating to include the most recent i-Ready diagnostic, Characteristics of Dyslexia and Written Expression screening data. Check out the reports within the RTI2-A dashboard to monitor your school's screening progress. Please allow 24-48 hours for updates.

Please log into TNPulse and reconstitute the Tier 2 and 3 intervention plans from Spring 2025 for enrolled intervention students. Refer to the TNPulse Resource Library RTI tab for the quick reference guide on reconstituting plans. You will need to update the plans to share more detailed intervention information and ensure that the frequency meets TDOE guidance that has been provided. Refer to page 35 of the RTI Manual if needed.
