Butler's Pledge: Be Respectful, Responsible, & Kind
Have a Happy & Safe Thanksgiving Holiday!
Important Information
Butler Food Drive - 11/14-11/25 - Dry Goods
Butler is collecting much needed dry-goods for the Central Bucks Farmers Market at Barclay Elementary School! Through the support of the Butler Elementary School community, our school will be collecting food (See list of items needed below) from Friday, November 14 - Tuesday, November 25th! The mission of the CB Farmers Market is to support local families by offering regular access to healthy, nutritious food for those who could use extra assistance.
Holiday Giving Tree Program - Now Open
The Holiday Gift Giving Tree is a great way to offer comfort and support to Butler families this holiday season. The Butler Giving Tree is now on display in the hallway near the main office. The tags display the names of holiday gifts that can be donated to families in our Butler Community who need extra support this season. We invite our Butler families to choose a tag (if they wish) to purchase the gift listed. We ask that you wrap the gift and be sure to secure the same tag to the outside of the wrapped gift. *Please do not take tags if you do not plan to purchase gifts - leave it for others*.
All gifts should be delivered to the main office no later than December 15 to ensure for timely holiday delivery. Thank you for all your wonderful generosity and support of our Butler Community.
For more information, please contact Peggy Bernabei, pbernabei@cbsd.org
Health Room - Plastic Bags Needed!
The Health Office is in need of plastic grocery bags. We use these bags almost daily and we are quickly running through them. We send home dirty clothes with students in these bags. Please consider donating any unneeded empty plastic bags to Butler's Health Office. We appreciate it!
Butler Cell Phone/SMART Watch/Personal Device Policy
When in school, personal student cell phone/SMART Watch/device usage are to be silenced and remain in backpacks during the school day. In some instances, students need their device to monitor health status through each day, and this will remain in place. However, should there be a need for any student/home communication, it will take place with the support of the teacher/school office during the school day. These district expectations have been shared with students, and we appreciate your support with your children as we navigate each school day.

Butler Bears Vs. Harlem Wizards - 11/6/25
Tricks, Hoops, and Alley Oops! That's what our fans were able to witness on Thursday, November 6th when the World-Famous Harlem Wizards came to CB South to take on the hometown Butler Bear Staff! There were unbelievable shots, incredible dunks, and tons of fun as the Wizards entertained everyone in the venue! Our Butler Bear teachers put up a good showing but did not have enough to beat the Wizards. This event could not have happened without our school and community coming together to put on such a fun event for the very first time! Thanks to our staff who either played or cheered, to the PTO and Wizard leadership who organized the event, Butler Student Ambassadors, and to everyone in attendance! A special thanks to CB South for hosting our game! Photograph Acknowledgment - Lastly, THANKS! to Butler Parent, Samantha Wilson, for contributing many of our action photos for our newsletter!
Butler Town Hall Assembly - Responsibility - 11/14/25
On Friday, November 14th, our Town Hall Assembly was a music-filled event that shared an important message about Responsibility! We were honored to welcome Nook Nook Creative Music School, whose talented instructors performed songs and creatively incorporated our pledge of Responsibility into their presentation.
They shared how responsibility is essential for every musician—taking care of instruments, practicing regularly, and collaborating with others to create harmony. These lessons connect perfectly to the values we strive to uphold every day at Butler.
This Town Hall was extra special because Danny, the drummer and Director of Teachers/Head Teacher at Nook Nook Music School, is part of our Butler family—his two children (Jude & Harry) attend our school! We are so grateful to Nook Nook for making responsibility come alive through music!
Also, a student was chosen from each grade who has demonstrated RESPONSIBILITY during this 1st Trimester - congratulations to our students who earned a certificate and special t-shirt for upholding our school pledge!
Thank you, again, Nook Nook Creative Music School, for inspiring us! To learn more, Nook Nook Music School - Doylestown, PA - Nook Nook %
Teepee - Cultural Curricular Connections - 5th Grade
Mr. Robin Moore - a local historian presented his Native American Studies Tipi-Raising (teepee) workshop to Butler's 5th Grade - providing a hands-on experience learned about native tribes to Bucks County and how they constructed the tipi. Problem solving, teamwork, and collaboration were all skills applicable to the tipi raising and once inside, storytelling/artifact demonstration was implemented to share more about our area's native heritage. It was a memorable activity for everyone!
Election Day - 11/4
While Butler Staff participated in district-wide staff development, the Butler Community was on-site during election day. Butler Elementary is host to 2-voting districts - and both sides of our gymnasium were busy with voters for this fall election cycle.
