CRANE R-III APP

LET ME KNOW!

Throughout the year, if you ever have questions, comments, or concerns, reach out to me (Mrs. Mease), and I will do my best to help. Email is probably best as I check it quite often, but phone calls and in-person visits are always welcome as well! My email is measet@crane.k12.mo.us, and my office number is 417-723-5300 ext 904. Many people have my cell phone number, and I don't mind receiving texts or phone calls at that number, however, I'm not going to post it on social media! I am happy to serve our school and community.

Communication, Communication, Communication!

Open communication among teachers and parents is so important! If you are concerned about something with your student's grade(s), schoolwork, or classroom experience, please reach out to the teacher through Rooms or email. If you are having trouble getting Rooms on your phone, let me (Mrs. Mease) know, and I will do my best to help! All teachers' emails are the same (last name, first initial of the first name, followed by @crane.k12.mo.us). I hope teachers will communicate with you as well. If you don't know a teacher's email because you don't know their first name, I can help you!

Grade Check Dates Grade Check Dates

  • Friday, January 23rd is a 3 week grade check. This grade check does NOT affect/change eligibility, but your child will receive a printed progress report, and they will be emailed out to parents and guardians as well.
  • Friday, February 13th is a 6 week grade check and does affect eligibility for athletics and extra-curricular participation. Students have a "grace week" the following week (2/17 through 2/20) to bring up any F's. At the end of the grace week, if they still have those F's, they will be ineligible until Friday, March 27th. Your child will receive a printed progress report on February 13th, and grade reports will be emailed out to parents and guardians as well. If a student had an F for 1st semester, this grade check does not change their eligibility.

Policy Reminders Policy Reminders

These policies are in the Jr High and High School Handbook

  • If a student has any F's for 1st semester, they are ineligible to participate in any MSHSAA sanctioned competitions or contests, including, but not limited to athletics. They are also ineligible for non-MSHSAA sanctioned competitions and/or contests such as FFA or JAG district, state, and national contests and conference academic competitions.
  • Attendance resets at semester. I will send out my first letters for attendance concerns the week of January 27th for students who have 4 or more absences at that time.
  • Seniors whose attendance is below 85% for the entire school year on Friday, May 5th will not be allowed to walk at graduation and must attend summer school to receive their diploma. That is more than 22 absences for the school year.
  • Jr High students who fail 2 or more CORE classes (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) in a semester will be required to attend summer school.
  • Jr High students who fail 5 or more of any semester classes for the school year will be a candidate for retention.
