A Message from the Principal

As March approaches, we will hit the one year anniversary of our original school closure, due to COVID-19. One full trip around the sun.

I have spent much time reflecting on the many trials, changes, successes, tweaks, and pivots our students, teachers, families, school and district have had to make. While it pains me to think this has been affecting our students and community for a year now, I also am proud of our entire school community for sticking together. As I have said many times before, it has taken all of us to make this happen.

Monday March 1st, will be a fully remote day of learning. We are anticipating the possibility of staff shortages on the Monday after the second dose of vaccines have been administered for a large number of our staff, this weekend. This is not an ideal situation and it will hit each household differently. While it is not ideal, and will cause some inconveniences, I am confident we can work through the hiccups for the day. I know we are all fatigued by the constant pivoting, but we got this! For our students, we got this!

The schedule and necessary links will come to you directly from your child's teacher. Thank you for being a huge part of this journey with us for the last year, and for your continued efforts, patience and support.

My Best,

Jenna Mullins

Kindergarten Registration

Do you have a child at home who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2021? Do you know someone who does, perhaps a friend or a neighbor? If so, Gibraltar School District has a spot waiting just for them in our kindergarten classrooms next year! Gibraltar School District offers both a traditional Kindergarten program as well as a Young Fives Kindergarten program. Both of these programs have a strong focus on the math and literacy skills needed for a solid foundation through the course of the formative elementary years. Registration is now OPEN online!

To begin the enrollment process, please visit the link below and follow the link to the Online Pre-Enrollment! Once completed, you will schedule an appointment to complete the enrollment process.

We will be running small-group informational sessions for parents and prospective students, on April 21 and April 28 at each elementary building. Once your enrollment process is complete, you can schedule your appointment for a small-group session!

Kroger Community Rewards

Did you know that Kroger has a Kroger Community Rewards program? This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to an organization, all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Shopper’s Card. This is in addition to the points you earn for gas and money off from groceries. If you are not already commited to an organization, please consider adding Hunter Elementary School to your account. It is really easy to do. Please visit THIS WEBSITE for step-by-step instruction.

During the process you will need the Hunter building code.

Hunter Building Code: KG705

Thank you for considering our school. You can share this with family and friends as well.
