Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
February 22, 2026
Lutherville Families,
Thank you all so much for your warm welcome past few weeks. Getting to know the wonderful community and staff, and of course, your incredible children has been such a fantastic experience. I've had a ton of fun already, and I still get two more weeks to be with these wonderful little leopards! I look forward to two weeks of learning, excitement, and more lunch bunches with my new pals :-)
Congrats to all for some great events this past week. Firstly, the Book Fair was a real hit! Huge thanks to the PTA Members and our community for their work with the Book Drive which allowed all students to leave the fair with new books to read, regardless of the amount of funds they did or didn't bring to the fair. Secondly, this past Friday, two awesome events happened -- The PTA Birthday Cake Kit Project and the Hop-for-Hopkins. The 'Birthday Cake Kits' will be donated to The Baltimore Hunger Project, and the Hop-for-Hopkins had a huge turnout, showcasing our incredible LL dancers and raising funds for Johns Hopkins Children's Center! What a day!
As mentioned in last month's Lab Report, we are proudly celebrating Black History Month. Lutherville students continue to read about and research influential Black leaders from across history, industries, and culture. We are all anxiously awaiting the Arts for Learning Maryland's Blacktastic Virtual Festival of Black History and Culture later this month.
In partnership,
-Mrs. Hanley (Principal Intern for Mr. McComb)

2026 LL Art Show!
We are so excited to announce the 2026 Lutherville Lab art show, which will be right at home in our school! This will allow families to not only see the art selected for the show, but the wealth of beautiful art on display throughout our building. If you haven't been in for a while - our school is bursting with beautiful color and is a sight to behold!
There will be opportunities to support with mounting art pieces and Mrs. Powell and Mrs. Hopkins would love some volunteers. More information to come on signing up for that opportunity soon!

Share your feedback before the 2026 BCPS Climate Survey closes on Friday, March 6!
Already completed the survey? Please help us remind other stakeholders about the importance of this annual initiative.
The survey is for all stakeholders: students in Grades 3–12, parents/caregivers, community members, and all staff. It takes three minutes or less to complete and is anonymous. The information from this survey will help BCPS understand how to best support all stakeholders and improve student and organizational performance.
