Dear BES Families,

3rd quarter is officially over and Spring Break is here!

Remember, we are not in school March 13-March 23rd. Our first day back is Tuesday, March 24th.

When we return, we will be turning a lot of our focus to our state assessments. This is where our students shine and show what they know! Our teachers have worked very hard ensuring your children have mastered essential learning standards and are prepared!

5th grade parents - see below for information regarding the LMS Transition Night.

The USD 416 Social Worker/Counseling team created a Community Resource Guide to assist our families with a wide array of resources that families in need may find helpful. Resources include everything from free Prom Boutiques, utility assistance, mental health and so much more. If your family could use a little extra support, we hope you find our Community Resource Guide helpful. Please refer to the contact page on the Community Resource Guide website if you would like further assistance from your child's building Social Worker/Counselor.

Please take note of our school calendars when planning your family's vacations.

Attendance is a focus at BES and we want your children at school! It can be very difficult for students to get caught up sometimes when they miss for extended periods of time. For example, when a student misses a week of school, that is up to 450 minutes of math instruction they are missing!

If your family does have a trip planned, we do not provide lessons or materials ahead of those trips. Teachers will work with you to schedule times when your student can be given that instruction and guided work time to ensure mastery of skills. This may have to happen before or after school, but we will also try to work during the school day as well.

GREAT school habits now help prepare students for future success!
