"Building a community prepared for the choices and challenges of life."
Message from the Principal
It is hard to believe how quickly time flies as the school year gets into full swing. Between field trips, campus events, and our fall playoff season, our days are moving fast! Through it all, we are grateful for the energy and focus our students bring to school each day, and we appreciate partnering with families to reflect on student growth.
Quarter one will officially close next Friday, October 30th. Our teachers will spend the following week updating gradebooks and finalizing comments before we mail home our quarter one progress reports. Please note that these quarter scores serve as a snapshot of your student's current learning rather than a final transcript grade.
If you have a current 9th, 10th or 12th grade student, you will also receive their 2025-2026 Vermont State Assessment results enclosed in the mailing. All students who were enrolled in 8th or 9th grade last year and participated in testing will receive results for both literacy and math. Students who were enrolled in 11th grade last year and participated in testing will receive their science assessment results.
If you prefer not to wait for physical mail, you can view your student's progress digitally by logging into your Parent Portal through Infinite Campus after Friday, November 6th. Reports are organized by course and include in progress scores along with teacher feedback.
If you have any questions or wish to connect regarding your student's progress, please reach out directly to their teachers or school counselor:
School Counselor: Brittany Bullard (bbullard@lnsd.org)
School Counselor: Ian Trombulak (itrombulak@lnsd.org)
Thank you for everything you do to support our students and school. I look forward to spending this beautiful fall afternoon on the sidelines cheering on our girls' soccer team as they host Milton High School for the quarterfinal game at 3:00 pm today. I am also excited to attend the final BFA/LU football game at BFA Fairfax tomorrow at 1:00 pm. I will have the chance to cheer on our team and celebrate our lone LU senior.
Go Lancers!
-Bethann Pirie, LUHS Principal
