Hello Titus Family,

We have officially wrapped up two full weeks of learning at Titus! It is hard to believe how quickly the school year is already flying by. There have been so many amazing things happening around our building, and it has been wonderful seeing our students settling into their classrooms, making new friends, and embracing all the opportunities that come with a new school year.

Today, we took time to remember and honor the heroes of 9/11 by wearing red, white, and blue. It was incredible to walk through our hallways and see so much patriotism on display as students and staff came together in a day of remembrance on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. We also had our Run for Funds Kickoff Assembly, and the excitement was through the roof! A huge shoutout to Mr. Michener and the entire Run for Funds Committee for putting together such a fun and energizing event. Our students are officially pumped up and ready for the big run on September 18th! If you are interested in supporting Titus, please don't forget to scan the QR code on the Run for Funds postcard that was handed out during Back-to-School Night.

Also, September 15th is our Celebrity Scooper Event at Rita's from 4:00-8:00 p.m. I am looking forward to seeing many of our Titus families there for a fun evening together. Please see the flyer below for specifics about the event!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Titus is off to a fantastic start, and I can't wait to see all of the great things our students accomplish in the weeks ahead!

Your Principal,

Erin Walter

ALL AROUND TITUS ALL AROUND TITUS

Remembering 9/11 Remembering 9/11

Friday marked the 25th anniversary of September 11th. We took a moment of silence to reflect and honor our heroes and the strength of our country. In addition, all students and staff were invited to wear red, white and blue. Titus Tigers filled our hallways with unity and patriotism and wore our country's colors proudly.

Support Titus with Our Annual Run for Funds Fundraiser!

We’re excited to kick off our NO SALE Fundraiser, a simple and stress-free way to support our school community. There’s no wrapping paper, cookie dough, candles, or other products to sell. Instead, families can participate by collecting donations from friends and family using this link or clicking the button below.

This fundraiser is one and done. A single donation can make a meaningful impact while making participation easy for everyone. Every dollar raised supports our Home & School Association and directly benefits Titus students and programs.

We encourage families to help spread the word! Reach out to parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, neighbors, and coworkers who may be interested in supporting our school. Together, we can make a big difference for our students.

Thank you for your support and generosity! Every donation helps strengthen our school community and enrich the educational experience for Titus students.

START OF THE SCHOOL DAY ...

We are an "A" or early school, and our hours are 8:35 AM to 3:15 PM.

Please be aware that the school day begins at 8:35 AM in your child(ren)'s classroom(s). If you are a car rider in the morning, it is recommended that children are dropped off no later than 8:30 AM in order to get to their classrooms for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM. If a student arrives in their classroom beyond 8:35 AM, they are considered tardy. Parents will need to come into the building to sign their child in if they arrive after 8:35 AM.

The adults supervising the car-rider drop-off line will be on duty until 8:32 AM. Students dropped off after 8:32 AM will more than likely not be able to make it to their classrooms on time for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM. Also, for safety reasons, students arriving to school prior to 8:15 AM, need to be supervised by their parent/caregiver. We ask that all students wait with their family member in the drop off line until 8:15 AM.

WALKERS & BIKE RIDERS WALKERS & BIKE RIDERS

User uploaded image

Walkers coming from Oakfield, Chatfield and streets to our south will cross at the crosswalk by the police station and enter through the bus loop entrance. Walkers and bicyclists from north and west of the school will cross Barness at the end of the bicycle path at the crosswalk and will proceed on the school side of Lower Barness, entering the school through the cafeteria entrance. The sidewalk comes straight back to the cafeteria entrance so that students can remain removed from the bus loop entirely. Bicycle racks are available adjacent to that entrance.

All bicyclists must wear safety helmets. Please also encourage your child(ren) to stay on the sidewalk while walking and riding for safety reasons especially due to car and bus traffic.

At the end of the day, walkers and bicyclists will be dismissed first so that they can exit the building in advance of bus and vehicular traffic. To ensure that classroom teachers have a complete list, we ask that you advise your teacher now if your child is going to be a walker at any time during the year so that their name will be included on the list.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES

Beginning on the first day of school, September 3rd, parents are asked to enter the Titus parking lot and stay to the right, proceeding to the back of the parking lot near the playground and following the yellow lines around to the Titus staff member who will help your child(ren) in and out of the car. This procedure will be used for both pick-up and drop-off. No students will enter through the main doors for drop-off or pick-up.

For AM drop off, all students should remain in their car in the car line until a staff member is present at 8:15AM to unload students from their vehicles. In the afternoon, the back gate will be opened at 3PM for afternoon car rider pick up. Please do not line up in our parking lot prior to 3pm as this creates a backup onto 611 and in our lot.

Each family will receive a "pick-up placard" on the first day of school that can be prominently displayed in their car window for the Titus staff members to see which student(s) are being picked up in the afternoon. Your child(ren)'s last name will be placed in the middle of the placard. It is suggested that you cover your placard with contact paper or a clear plastic sleeve so that it will last the school year.

Please bear with us on the first week of school as it may take a little bit longer to adjust to the drop-off and pick-up procedures. Many Titus staff members will be present at these times during the first week to help direct you through the loop. Please take a look at the picture below for a visual of the drop-off and pick-up loop.

I thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.

End-of-Day Dismissal Change Procedure:

If your student must go home a different way than usual, please follow these steps to ensure your student dismisses the correct way:

✅Email your student’s teacher and copy the entire office staff, stating your student’s name and the end-of-day dismissal change:

  • [teacher's email]@cbsd.org
  • mbates@cbsd.org
  • lwest@cbsd.org
  • ahighberger@cbsd.org

✅If a student is going home with another family, the parents of both families must email or call the office, providing consent.

✅Copying the entire office staff assures the dismissal change is included in end-of-day dismissal announcements and is a backup if the teacher or any office staff are absent.

✅Please submit changes as early as possible. Changes cannot be accepted after 2:50PM.

DON'T FORGET CLEARANCES....

Titus requires all potential volunteers to complete their paperwork for clearances prior to assuming any volunteer/chaperone role within the school. This will ensure we are in line with district and state expectations.

Who Needs Clearances: An individual who is responsible for the child's welfare or has direct contact with children. Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children to obtain background checks and clearances. In the best interest of the safety and security of our students, Central Bucks School District requires the submission of these clearances prior to volunteering during the school year. Each volunteer must create an individual Raptor account, and all required clearances must be submitted with your application. Approved volunteers must check in at the office with photo ID, such as a driver's license, when volunteering.

Additional information and steps on how to complete your clearances and to register to be a volunteer can be found on our district website.
