Welcome back, Broadmoor Wildcats!! We are so excited for another GREAT school year!

This newsletter is filled with information for Back-to-School.

Please read through carefully and reach out if you have any questions.

Save the date for our Open House and Community Fair on August 7th! The classroom visits are from 6-7pm. Rooms will not be open or available prior to that. It is very much an 'open house' style format, so please come and enjoy the Community Fair as well.

The School Supply list is below. If your family is in need of assistance with supplies, please give us a call! We have many resources for all supplies from backpacks to glue sticks to new shoes! Just reach out!

Our office staff will be available for any questions you may have. Our teachers do not return until August 5th and their days are full of professional development, meetings, and work time to prepare for the school year. I ask that you respect this short amount of time they are given to prepare. If you need to meet with staff prior to the school year, please reach out to me at 837.1900 or you can email me at applec@usd416.org and I will work with you and the teacher to find a time to meet.

Online Enrollment for Louisburg School District 24-25 School Year will open tomorrow July 29, 2024 through Skyward Family Access.

If you have any issues or need additional help please contact our office at 837.1900.

Students coming into 3rd grade from RES - you are NOT a new student.

You are considered a returning student!

You must complete all sections of the enrollment in order to see your child's teacher placement. For some of the pages, simply opening the document to look at and closing it will allow you to move on to the next step.

Fees do not have to be paid at this time. However, Revtrak online payment fees are waived during this time!! In order to progress to the next step in enrollment, you must open to look at the fees page.

On July 31, 2024 the buildings will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for returning student families that need assistance enrolling. You do not need to attend on this day if you have already completed the enrollment through Skyward.

The transportation form for school year 24-25 is OPEN!

A district wide email will be sent with the link to the form if transportation is needed.

Our amazing Nutrition Service Staff has been putting together some incredible menus. Our students at BES will have 3 options for lunch this year AND our awesome full salad bar will be available too!

Our salad bar is full of fresh options including fruit, vegetables, salad, and more. Students are welcome to take whatever they will eat. On cheeseburger days, we do have to remind them that they only need about 3-5 pickles....not a tray full!!!

On Wednesday mornings, we will again have our Pancake Bar for breakfast! This was a hit last year!

Family is welcome to come to lunch anytime. Please remember we do not allow fast food packaging in accordance with state requirements. If you bring it in, please put in generic cups or containers. You are also welcome to eat school lunch! We hope to see you at lunch!

Please take note of our school calendars when planning your family's vacations.

Attendance is a focus at BES and we want your children at school! It can be very difficult for students to get caught up sometimes when they miss for extended periods of time. For example, when a student misses a week of school, that is up to 450 minutes of math instruction they are missing!

If your family does have a trip planned, we do not provide lessons or materials ahead of those trips. Teachers will work with you to schedule times when your student can be given that instruction and guided work time to ensure mastery of skills. This may have to happen before or after school, but we will also try to work during the school day as well.

GREAT school habits now help prepare students for future success!
