Hendrickson High School
Message from Principal Grebb:
If you were alive 25 years ago, you probably remember exactly where you were and the feeling of uncertainty as we watched the events of September 11, 2001, unfold. If you experienced 9/11 and the days and weeks that followed, you may also remember how our country came together as we tried to process what had happened. It changed our world and our country forever.
I hope that one day this generation will experience that same sense of unity and community we had shortly after that tragic event. I believe we have that opportunity right here at Hendrickson every day to duplicate that togetherness. We can choose to work as one, support one another, and help each other through the high school journey. Sometimes, that simply means checking in on someone you normally wouldn't.
Next Friday is our six week grade check for UIL, so please make sure you are staying on top of your grades and taking care of anything you need to improve.
On a different note, Hendrickson received some exciting news this week, FOUR of our students have been named National Merit Semifinalists! These students earned a selection index score on the PSAT that met or exceeded the specific cutoff for Texas. The National Merit Semifinalists represent roughly the top 1% of graduating seniors in each state, so earning this recognition in Texas is a tremendous accomplishment.
Congratulations to our seniors Maxx Amador, Elijah Duvvuri, Ivan Nguyen, and Yuan Tong! We are incredibly proud of you and all the hard work that led to this achievement.
If you are an 11th grader, your opportunity to join this elite group is coming up on Wednesday, October 7th. On this day we will be administrating the PSAT to all 10th and 11th graders.
Enjoy the weekend, Hawks, check with someone. A small gesture can make a big difference.

Senior Pictures
To be included in the yearbook, seniors must be photographed by Cady Photography no later than December 18. Students can take portraits either at the Cady Studio or on campus on select days. The first day they will be on campus for seniors is October 7. Regardless of where the photo is taken, you must set up an appointment on the Cady.com website. Sessions range in price from the free yearbook only to higher priced packages with more outfit changes and backgrounds options.
The yearbook portrait will be an outfit of choice, but the studio will also take a cap and gown photo, even at the free session
