Sora is an ebook and audio book platform you access with your Atlantic County Library Card. Download the app to make reading or listening to a book even easier. Click on the picture to see a video overview of Sora. Directions on how to access the app can be found here.

Ever listened to a story being read at 17,000 miles per hour? Just click on the “Story Time from Space” website and you can watch videos of astronauts reading stories from the International Space Station. “Story Time from Space” is a project sponsored by the Global Space Education Foundation, a nonprofit education foundation that works with NASA.

In May, 6th graders will be introduced to the world of research by learning about our library databases. They can be accessed from anywhere and will give our students up-to-date, valid information on whatever they are researching. Students can also find great photographs, primary sources and videos using our library databases. Click on the photo above to check them out!

To celebrate National Poetry Month, students at Fernwood and Alder Middle Schools both created Black Out Poetry. Black Out Poetry is when a page of text is completely blacked out, except for a few select words or phrases. When only those words are visible, a brand new "poem" emerges! Check out some of our favorites below!
