Welcome back! We have had a wonderful week at Clearwater Elementary. It was truly great to see our students proudly wearing orange in support of Unity Day and "Be A Buddy" Month! This overwhelming show of unity strongly reinforces the importance of choosing kindness over bullying. Throughout the school year, we will continue to highlight and reinforce kindness and friendship as core values for all of our students.

Looking ahead, next week is Red Ribbon Week! We have plenty of exciting activities planned to encourage healthy choices and positive behavior. Let's keep the momentum going and make it another amazing week at Clearwater!

Clearwater Elementary is committed to continuous improvement, and each year our instructional team evaluates our STEAM program to find new ways to enrich learning. This year, we want to highlight real-world careers and show students how their classroom learning connects to the community around them! Every profession plays a vital role in our society, and we would love for our students to learn directly from you.

We are looking for parent and community volunteers willing to share their experiences throughout the school year. Whether your work connects to Math, Science, Social Studies, or Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), your story can spark curiosity in our young learners!

Examples of Connections:

• Construction & Gardening: Math & Geometry connections

• Cashiers & Retail: Practical Math & Social-Emotional Skills

• Medical Field: Hands-on Science & Health

Clearwater is excited to launch our Monthly STEAM Challenge Activities to help bridge the connection between school and home! These challenges offer a hands-on opportunity for families to experience what STEAM learning looks like in action and see the incredible engagement it creates in our young learners. When families explore, design, and problem-solve together, students see that curiosity and innovation don't stop at the classroom door. We can't wait to see your family’s creativity shine!
