A note from Mrs Tidd....
Our first full week is complete and our students have been awesome! Although, there is no tired like first full week back to school tired :) Make sure your kids get plenty of play time outside and plenty of sleep this weekend!
The office team visited all 5th grade classrooms to talk about the definition of bullying, how to report it, and what we can do to ensure our school is free from bullying. We will meet with 4th grade students next week. Both grade levels really focus on 3 characteristics….bullying is when mean behaviors are repeated, intentional, and have some sort of power imbalance. As always, just be kind is a motto that will keep us bully free at all times!
There is also a new law in effect that bans cell phones from being out during the school day, so please remind students if phones are in backpacks, they must stay there and be powered off. The law actually includes smart watches as well. As long as kids are only using a watch as a watch, we will be fine. We only had one phone issue this week!
Please remember to have students bring back their lanyards to school every day. It is important for breakfast, lunch, and eventually buses.
It’s been a great first full week. Let’s keep it going!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Tidd

Sra. Tidd
