Kia ora koutou

Welcome back to term 4 at Rawhitiroa School, another action packed term!

What a fantastic day last week for pet day. Thank you to everyone for your help before the event with your children and their animals and on the day. Certificates will be presented to all students at assembly next week.

A big thank you also to our sponsors LIC, CRV, Silver Fern Farms, FMG & The Family Butchery.

Today we have our in school athletics day, we look to be lucky with the weather. The students will all be participating in running, jumping and throwing events for house points. Thank you to Melissa from Sport Taranaki who is coming to help, Debora and Brent Watkins who have arranged for us to borrow the high jump equipment form Eltham Athletics Club and Carl Triggs who ensured we have enough sand in the long jump pit for jumping.

Most of you will be aware that members of the NZEI teachers union are proposing strike action next Thursday. This will be officially confirmed next week. Rawhitiroa School will remain open as normal as we have sufficient non union members on staff.

Please make sure you have a look at the attached calendar as there are many events on this term.

Have a great weekend.

School Dropoff Times

If your children need to be dropped off at school before 8.30am or if you are running late for pick up please let us know. Children still at school after the other students have gone home can get quite worried if we are unable to tell them when you will be here. Thank you.

Water Only School

A reminder that we are a water only school. No juice in bottles or juice boxes please.

Milk Bottle Top Challenge

Please keep sending in your milk/cream bottle lids, as we are continuing to collect in advance for next year's competition.
