Greetings Brown Families and Caregivers,

Thank you for your support and collaboration in making our first week back at school a safe, productive, and joyful week! During the first weeks of school, we are focused on building our classroom communities, teaching routines and procedures, launching academic content, and teaching and reinforcing our PAWS core values (Practice Empathy, Act Respectfully, Work Hard, and Solve Problems Together). Our Assistant Principal, Ms. Lepow, and I will be visiting grade levels this week for PAWS with the Principals presentations. We will review the PAWS values with the students and ask them to think about how they can practice the values at school. We encourage families to reinforce this learning at home by noticing and naming when your child demonstrates these values. Please also feel free to print the PAWS poster linked below and post it on your fridge as a handy reminder!

The Brown School PTO will be hosting a meet and greet coffee on Thursday, September 4th at 8:30AM. I hope to see you there! If you can't make it and want to connect, the easiest way to reach me is via email (jeven@natickps.org). Please feel free to reach out to with any questions or concerns, or to schedule a time to meet.

Here’s to a fantastic start and a successful school year!

In partnership,
Dr. Johanna Even
Principal

Reminders Reminders

Pick Up Patrol

Make sure to update your default pick up plans in Pick Up Patrol (PUP). Any daily changes to your default plan must be entered on PUP by 1:30PM (11:30 on early release days). Please help us ensure that dismissal is safe and efficient for all Brown students!

Please Slow Down!

Please drive slowly and carefully in the drop-off and pick-up line. The safety of students is our #1 priority.

General Reminders

With the start of the school year, we thought it would be a good time to provide all families with some reminders from the front office: https://brown.natickps.org/o/bes/page/new-parent-information

Save the Date!

This year we will have a new format for our fall Open House. Children are invited to host their parents and caregivers for a tour of their new classrooms. Families will have the opportunity to meet homeroom teachers, specialists, and special education and multilingual learner teachers. Grade level curriculum overviews will be broadcast in the classrooms and our literacy and math coaches will be available to answer curriculum questions.
